    the only 'bother' I'm going to do is wait until I see they are giving out discounts. Then I will call and cancel.

    If they offer me a deal (like they did two years ago when they gave me $72 more in credits than what I paid), I'll continue. If not, I'll cancel. I won't call multiple times.

    My son won't be happy, but he'll live.

    Just called got the $99 offer then they jerked me around saying they couldn't get it to go because Im set up not to auto renew....

    Who wants auto renew if its never a deal?.....Good luck DirectTV maybe if you got your act together you might have more sales?

    I'm rather confused. My account online indicates I have +R3WTG"NFL Sunday Ticket Max 2017" at a cost of $0.00 and Channel 114 says I'm "authorized." However I haven't ordered anything. Any idea what all that means?

    You had ST Max last year, correct? ST is an auto-renewal package. You have until the first game to cancel if you don't want it this upcoming season. For the next several months, you'll see the $0.00, but just before the season starts, the price will change to the pro-rated amount.

    So basically, just a reminder that you will be subscribing to ST Max unless you cancel. You'll also see notes on your bill that will say the same thing.

    Interesting. I got my DIRECTV bill in the mail earlier this week. No mention of Sunday Ticket.

    I tried a couple of times to get a discount on NFL Sunday Ticket with no luck. The 3rd time I finally got one, I asked for the Loyalty Department and was offered NFL Max $16.00 a month for 6 months. If you have no luck, try again!

    I called the other day and was told there are no special offers or discounts on the ST. I was told to call back about a month before the season starts (mid-Aug).

    I was told that 30 days ago when they gave me Starz free for 30 days, and then I was suppose to call them to cancel Starz after 30 days. They then offered me Starz for $7.00 off for 6 more months, but I declined that offer.
    I heard in the past to ask for the "Loyalty Department", told them I was thinking about canceling my NFL package unless they had any special promotion. The lady said she could give me the NFL Max package for $16 a month for 6 months. Keep trying until you get the right person that can help you! Good Luck!

    Thanks....I did notice the CSR I spoke with the other day did not even acknowledge how long I've been with DTV (2003). So I guess instead of saying..."Cancel' at the prompt...I should now say "Loyalty Dept"...??

    I said Cancel when I called and then asked if they could transfer me to the Loyalty Department and say your thinking about canceling your NFL package. If not lucky try again and again until you get the right person.

    I called to cancel my Sunday Ticket when the first charge appeared on my bill. Was offered Sunday Ticket Max for $99 either all at once or 4 payments. Took it with the four payment option.

    Well, the third time's the charm. I called in this week and just asked the CSR if there were any deals for the Sunday Ticket. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes (like usually happens...I think they're hoping you just get frustrated and hang up). She came back, pulled the auto renew off my account, then said I could get Sunday Ticket Max for $99. SOLD!

    i think you are correct about being slapped on hold " while we check " , they hope you hang up after a 5 or 10 mins ,,, not me when it comes to saving $$$$$
