A differently loyalty number and Red Zone being tossed in with regular ST???
Made the call, here's what I got.
Been with DTV since 1999.
$55 loyalty credit a month for a year.
$16 off a month for 6 months for NFLST Max (so it's about $50).
So basically, free NFLST Max, my regular bill will be only $5 less for the 6 months, then $55 off the regular bill for the last 6 months.
Did not have to extend my contract with expires next week.

So called the 'loyalty number' and got right through. I got a discount of 16.50 per payment so (16.50 x 6) = $99 off the Sunday Ticket MAX. In addition I also credit of $25 for 1 year. ($300). No contract extension required either. So essentially got it for free.
Called last night and got free stand alone Red Zone (no sunday ticket just RZ) and a year extension of my $50 off/Month discount (it was due to expire in October). Whole call was less than 10 minutes. No contact extension no haggling. As others have said it really seems to come down to CSR, but calling the posted loyalty number certain helps get you to the right people.
Well this is the first year I can remember talking with multiple loyalty reps, and being told there was no kind of discounts showing for NFLST, with it not being added to the account. It seems for the reps to even see the $12, and $16 off NFLST, and NFLST Max for 6 months. ST has to already be added to the account. The discount is listed as a loyalty type discount as well.
I spoke with a rep just today again about this, and she told me this weekend is free preview for NFLST. So if some of you aren't getting any discounted offers you would like for NFLST. Just know you can wait it out up till next sunday before needing to add it to continue having access to it for the rest of the season.

Please verify that you are talking to DIRECTV when you call any number.
It would not be impossible to call some scammer that could promise the impossible and not deliver.
(I am not saying the most recent numbers are scams ... just be careful.)
I tried this new magic number and they reduced my att wireless by $10/mo but said they could do nothing for SundayTicket.
Called again and person said this was wrong number for any Directv credits/discounts.

If you have the AT&T mobile app. I opened mine yesterday to look at the billing and had an offer for ST from AT&T. It was free Sunday ticket regular at no cost for AT&T and Directv customers with choice package or above. When looking at the offer it states “Every game every Sunday” then goes to show free ST Max with new subscribers the next window is for free ST Regular for movers, then the last box is free ST regular for current AT&T and Directv customers with choice and above packages. The offer is for free ST $293.95 at no additional cost.
I opened the chat window and went through 2 reps that then switched me to a phone call with their NFL ST Department. I read the entire offer to them and she couldn’t find it through Directv but said it must be an AT&T promotion for long time members. She said she could see that I have been with AT&T for over 20 years. So 10 min later her supervisor applied $50 credit each month for 12 months and the $48.99 ST for 6 months. So, I guess in theory I am paying $48.99 for ST, for 6 months, but they are applying $50 a month for 12 months to watch it.
Then called 800-824-9077.
Said was longtime customer of Directv after she told me I’ve been with them since 2003.
Then said also ATT Wireless customer. Looking to offset rising Sunday ticket costs.
Gave me regular Sunday ticket for free. I’d have to pay $100 for Max.
Then she gave me $60/mo for 12.
Then 6 months of sports pack.
And 4 months of showtime.
And a new replacement Directv mini genie.
AND NO COMMITMENT.
$120 off ATT wireless.
$300 off (free ticket)
60 x 12 = $480 off
12 x 6 off
11 x 4 off
Made the call tonight. (Called 800-824-9077) First try, coming to an end of my second 2-year contract. Had a good chat with a very pleasant CSR and had a nice chat in the process. He joked that "it was the busy season for the calls." Won't go deep into the conversation of the call, but here's what I received:
- $60/mo, for one year, off Choice (Dropping programming package from Xtra to Choice).
- $16.50/mo, for six months, off Sunday Ticket MAX.
- $6.99/mo, for one year, off Starz (This is a new addition I mentioned I wanted to add.)
- Free Showtime, for four months
- No additional contract commitment.
Have everything I really want/need with the programming changes, still have Sunday Ticket MAX, and my bill is essentially the same cost without any commitment. I'll take it as a win. To those still trying, may the odds be ever in your favor.

Sunday Ticket for free in 2018. Two year customer with the Choice Xtra package and ATT Fiber, monthly bill is $89 a month .
No extended commitment.
I'm a bit surprised you was offered the $60 off for 12 months, and free NFLST. But maybe you being a wireless customer helped with this. Because I first talked with them mid august about my bill going up, and my programming cost. The rep offered me the $60 off for 12 months, and I took it. However since doing that.. It seems when I talk with any reps it roadblocks me from any NFLST offers.
Yes I will admit the $60 off, does help offset the cost of NFLST. However I don't fully look at it that way, and I have my reasoning for that. I have been with them a long time, and I have 5 receivers, with whole home dvr. So for me personally I look at this discount as a way to offset the higher amount of fee's I pay each month just for my boxes. Which personally I have had there genie system for 5-7 years now. So there's no question I have paid off the cost of every box inside my home.
I just wanted to post this, as I don't want to come off as greedy. If they would offer me NFLST Max for $250 for the season, I would take it asap. I just don't want to be paying $300 for max this season. I'm personally having trouble justifying the cost of Max overall. Due to it costing a $100 more, however only offers Redzone channel, and Fantasy channel. I want the redzone channel.. But for a $100 more? Not something I'm willing to accept. I would be able to justify Max, if it still included the mobile streaming with it. But that's included with standard NFLST now. So $100 for redzone on top of NFLST is a big no from me.
I believe your conversation dictates the way your discounts are offered and what the CSR tries to deal out. When I made my first contract call two years ago, I focused on football. The CSR instantly went to work on Sunday Ticket discount offers. This time, I mentioned that we were looking to cut down on our overall bills, mentioned that I wanted to drop our package down one tier. He brought up the $60/off discount, and later brought up Sunday Ticket to me, as he said he noticed it was still on our account and tossed out the $16.50/off for ST.
Do you genuinely need five receivers now? I keep a small TV in my daughter's room, but she watches everything off a streaming device/apps and I have no intent on adding an additional receiver to her room.
I also called and said "I read online some customers qualify for ST for free and but had to pay $100 for the Max upgrade." I got the same deal.
Well my conversation with them have always gone well, and I have even mentioned being under no contract with time a couple times over the past few years. This year has been the first time, when NFLST has been mentioned, a lot of nothing has come from the reps, in terms of any discounts for it. So I think it has to do with ATT taking over, and being much more strict with things regarding NFLST.
One of the reps I spoke with the past few weeks, we had a very nice conversation, the rep was indeed a loyalty rep as well. I was very honest with the rep, and told them I'm at the point if NFLST is gonna be a full priced thing for customers like me. I have looked at leaving directv. Because NFLST is a MAIN reason I keep them as a provider. Because there's plenty of times when the weather isn't the greatest, and so service is out at times. Something I wouldn't have to worry about with my local cable provider. Even after discussing this with the rep, it was pretty much crickets in terms of looking to see if maybe there was something to offer me as a long time customer.
With all that said, it bothers me a bit. As they're quick to offer it to get people to sign up with them. Hell they even offer NFLST free as part of the movers deal. Which I don't know if they're still doing that. Either way though.. They should be able to do better with offers like this for their "Loyal" customers. Who pay them a good bit of money every month, on time, and for many years now. But at least this year, it has been difficult, and more of a headache, when bringing up NFLST to reps. Often times being told there isn't anything they can offer.
Just a couple week's back I ultimately dropped my package from their premier package. Because the rep was more into talking about dropping service, then finding a way to maybe offer a discount to keep me where I was. At this point, I'm happy that rep did mention about my package. Because I did end up dropping my package down, and saving $30 a month. Not needing any discounts to do it either. Still I can see a difference when talking with directv reps since the ATT switch over. Much more annoying when talking with them, even loyalty reps, It's like playing russian roulette. One will tell you nothing is available, the next one will offer for maybe 2-4 discounts, overall not good.
Finally as for my 5 boxes. This is another thing one of the reps asked me about. Currently 4 of the 5 boxes, are used every day for at least a couple hours. 1 box is in a spare bedroom. But I'm not gonna return one box, to save $5-7. Because you never know when someone might come over to stay, and so having it available in that one room, I feel beats saving a couple bucks on one box.
Well I just got off the phone with a loyalty rep just a little while ago. I finally got a NFLST offer I felt was more then fair, and fits into a budget I set for myself regarding NFLST this year. Which I wanted to be able to get the cost of NFLST Max below $250 for the season. I'm post below what discounts I recently got applied to my account over the last couple weeks. Ultimately getting discounts towards NFLST was hell this year, way more calls then it should have taken. However I'm more then happy with the discounts I will be receiving the next few months.
$60 off for 12 months.
$5 off both HBO, and Showtime. So total of $10 off for 6 months.
Cinemax for free for 6 months.
$2.50 off sports pak(?) for 3 months.
NFLST $12 off for 6 months.
One time credit of $103 for NFLST Max. Making Max upgrade free.
Overall a good amount of credits over the next several month. With that said, these discounts were spread over multiple calls. Wasn't a quick, and easy one time call. This year getting discounts was much more difficult, and required being patient a lot. I ended up getting NFLST Max for $220 for the season, below the $250 budget I set for it. So I'm a happy customer now. The $60 credit is great as that will cover box fees, and dvr service for the next year. I can actually say my monthly bill for the next several months will look, and feel much better when it comes time to pay directv every month.
Spoke with a rep yesterday and Week 1 is free again as it has been and is a free preview. I called about a month ago to see if I could get a discount on NFL ST. Usually I either pay little to nothing for it. I think last year I paid $99 total with Max. They could only offer the one free payment knocked off ($50) so I told them to cancel the auto-renewal. I told them my bill was getting too high and they offered $60 off per month for a year (or $55 if I didn't add any 1 year commitment as I am currently out of contract) so I took the $55 off version and some free HBO for 6 months.
I call back the other day and ask if there are any discounts as I like the ST with the Max (so I can get red zone and watch on my ipad etc) and was told I don't need max for 1 single mobile device use now. The rep this year said that the Max only includes Red Zone and Fantasy Zone channels and that mobile is included in the base price (previously mobile was only part of the MAX). I told them I still want the red zone if I were to get it. Best offer they could give me was basically amounting to $250 for regular and $300 for max. I told them no thanks. She said call back maybe after the free preview weekend and there may be newer discounts.
So I am still not under contract. I don't consider the $55 off per month a deal having to do with the ST since technically I am not subscribing to that now. I am a 13 year subscriber now and I told them previously I only have DirecTV because of the ST. So after reading through on here I am not sure if I should just keep trying and playing roulette or if I should wait till next Monday after week 1?
I am concerned they keep putting notes on my account. I said Cancel when calling in but I am not sure if I got a retention rep or not though this time.
So I tried chat again tonight at 10:45pm, wondering cost for RedZone since STMax would be about $414.00, and I can go the NFL route and get RZ for $4.99/mth. The chat lady said she was checking with her supervisor.
My home phone then rang at 10:50pm and ID showed ‘unavailable’, but the call woke up my wife and she answered and it was the DirecTV supervisor calling me! I ended chat and he transferred me right to Loyalty Dept. since they give the best deals for ST.
That lady was real nice and I went thru the story. She said my account qualified for RedZone for free and I qualified for ST for $220.44, so it would be like Max but without Fantasy. I said I’d sleep on it, so she put it on my account notes in case I call back to activate.
So for now, I got RedZone for free, and confirmed it on ‘Recent Activity’ on my DirecTV account.
I still was shocked they called my home phone that late at night.....
