    I called and cancelled about two weeks ago and lo and behold, the first installment hit my bill today anyway! I'm not pleased.

    I did online chat yesterday and ended up getting ST for $107, if you add up all the discounts. I can handle that :).

    Just curious, did you actually get ST discounts or did you get other discounts you are applying to the cost of ST?

    Just did my call to cancel the auto-renew (last year was the Max for $99 deal) and the only deal I could get was 45.99 per month on the Max. (and a month of free Starz, lulz). Will try back closer to season.

    They gave me $12/month off ST (for 6 months) and I am adding the other discount to the cost.

    I’ve had good luck with loyalty department. Last year I called and got free Sunday Ticket and $20 a month off my bill for 12 months. I called today and got Sunday Ticket for 37.00 a month for six months ($12.25 off a month) plus $50 off my bill each month for the next 12 months. I’m very pleased and btw I’m only a Select customer with no extra pay channels.

    I had Sunday Ticket for free last year, didn't even call them, they called me to offer it. This year we are moving from Kansas to Colorado. I called to check on DTV Mover's special. It's no longer special. All they offer you is a no cost install. I had to ask for more discounts or I was going to cancel and go to a streaming service. They offered me $40 off per month for 12 months if I agree to a 12 month contract. I asked for ST discounts and was told there were none. I took the $40/mo discount and that puts my DTV bill at $50/mo.

    Heck, moving three years ago led to the only time I ever had Sunday Ticket. I moved less than two miles, far less than I presume you are moving, but qualified for the special nonetheless.

    Just called and was able to get Sunday ticket discounted $12.25 a month. Making my 6 payments to around $36 a month and was given three free months of Cinimax.

    I cancelled Sunday Ticket today. They were not very helpful. It seems like it gets closer and closer to the season each year before AT&T budges. I will call back after my next bill hits and a some credits drop off. I did confirm with the guy in retention today that my commitment ends the 20th of this month and I own all of my equipment even my Genie. They usually do right by me. I am a loyal customer and been with them for 10 years now. I think I paid half price for Sunday Ticket 1 year. Had it free all the rest.

    Called 800-288-2020 today (I heard Mondays are good days to call). Long time subscriber, but I'm not sure that had any influence on my call.

    Asked for "contract end date" at voice prompt and was immediately transferred to "premium" customer service. I asked for offers on NFL ST and after being put on hold I was told there wasn't any. However, in exchange for paying $65.99/month for six months ($395.94) I was given $60 off a month for 12 months ($720). This makes my NFL ST with MAX a total of ($324.06). Not too shabby. This was in exchange for a one-year commitment.

    Also, I was already nearing the end of an existing $60 off a month for 12 months "loyalty" credit, but apparently, according to the rep, this had nothing to do with the $60 off a month for 12 months offered me today.

    I received the same deal last week. Was told no ST deals but $60.00 off x 12 months is more than fair. One year commitment also.

    Made my call today, waited on hold for 20 mins-after that ended up in a foreign country and she couldn't understand me. I finally hung up and gave up, had called into cancel my Sunday Ticket since I'll have RZ via my streaming service. Frustrating because I've been with Directv for 10+ years and have ATT mobile service with unlimited with 5 devices.

    This is the direct number to DIRECTV loyalty/retention: 800-824-9077

    If you call that number, it will direct you straight to loyalty without having to go through other departments and the hold time is generally very short.

    Made my annual call today to the loyalty number. I got $60 credit for 12 months, $7 credit on Stars for 6 months, and an additional $16.50 discount on ST for 6 months.

    In the past DTV just gave me ST for free. I've been a ST sub since '98. Paid the first couple of years until I learned to make the call for discounts. I never had to pay full price for it until last year when AT&T took over. Now it seems they want their money upfront but are willing to give out credits.

    I called the Loyalty number posted above. Can’t say if it got me to Loyalty but it was a very short time on hold before someone picked up. I asked for any NFL ST discounts or credits that were available or more general discounts and credits that might help to defray the cost of NFL ST. I was told there were no NFL ST discounts or credits and that, for other sorts of discounts or credits, they would have to transfer me to an “RC1 Department” who might be able to help me out. Then I was told they were having technical difficulties gettting people to that department and that I should call back later in the week. That’s a new one for me: an “RC1 Department.”

    The number I posted? It is definitely the loyalty department. I have never heard of a RC1 department, either.. That's a new one for me. Do you have other AT&T services as well? If you have just DIRECTV, maybe call it one more time in hopes of getting someone different who can and will help you? Do you have active credits on your account? That factors into it as well. Only thing I can think of is that they were going to try transferring you to a department to get you to bundle with other AT&T services that can take some cost off of your DIRECTV.
