I have never heard of that department either. I called loyalty/retention at 800-824-9077 this morning and got $60 off for 12 months, $12.25 reduction off NFL ST for 6 months, free SportsPack for 6 months, and free upgrade to 4k hardware. My one year commitment from last year just expired a couple of days ago.

Yes, it was the 1-800-824-9077. I currently have no credits on my bill (a $50 a month credit for a year expired a few months ago). And I’ve been with Directv since 2000. I have my cell phone with ATT so I wonder if you’re right that the “RC1 Department” is a department that pitches discounts for bundling. That’s not something I’m interested in. I’ll call the Loyalty number again tomorrow and see if I can get an offer like others have received. I’d be happy with the $60 off a month for 12 months. That more than covers the cost of NFLST.

Wow. Long time customer with no active discounts? Hard to believe there's nothing available. Something tells me you will have better luck on your next call. It's like some agents just don't want to help.

called today. 15 year customer. just rolled off a $30/12 month credit and thus contract over and still working on my Black Friday $50 12/month credit. asked about new credits and ST. Was offered a $60/ 12 month credit with NO contract but full price on the ST. Interestingly was also offered 6 months of free Sports Pack which the CSR said was a "little bit" of ST but not the entire year and not Max (red zone). Anyway, did not commit to full price ST yet because will call back and try to trade a 12 month commit for lower price on ST. will have $110 in credits working for next 5 months also

Just called (1-800-824-9077) and cancelled my subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket Max. No discount was offered. With the number of Monday night games, Thursday night games, games played in England and games played on holidays it's lost it's value and is certainly not worth $395.94. Will continue reading this thread to see if any discounts appear in the future.

    I agree.

If you have a home team you watch, and their games are mostly on at 1:00 eastern, there really is no value to the Sunday Ticket. You can get the NFL Game Pass for $99 and watch all the games after 7:00 at night.

I used to tape all the shortcuts and watch them Sunday morning before the 1:00 games. The Sunday Ticket doesn't allow taping these anymore. You need to use the app, and the games are only available from like Monday to Thursday.

I think I'm going to the NFL Game Pass this year NFL Game Pass | Replay Every NFL Game of the Season as it seems that it offers much more (full-length games with commercials cut out, 45 minute games, All 22 and end zone views for every game, and games back to 2009). The Sunday Ticket only gives you the ability to watch every game as it happens, live. None of the other extras. But if I'm watching my home team live at 1:00 every Sunday, I'm not benefiting, except for the RedZone channel and an odd 4:00 game that won't be on locally.

I called Loyalty (800-824-9077) and asked about discounts and credits to help with NFLST and was told that since I have an ATT cell phone, my account was now an ATT account and I would have to be transferred to a different department to address my question. My heart sank. No more access to Loyalty! And, just as I thought, the department I was transferred to had nothing for me. But they said there should be loyalty discounts available for me since I had been with Directv since 2000. So, surprisingly, I was transferred back to Loyalty who, this time, helped me out with a $45 credit a month for 12 months on my bill and a $10 discount a month on HBO and Showtime (channels we always have) for 6 months. Not as good as I’ve seen others get, but I’m satisfied with it as that more than covers the cost of NFLST. I also found out that I do not have an auto-renewal for NFLST set up on my account (perhaps because of the transfer of the account to ATT?) so I’ll call back later to see if I can get any discounts there to sign up. No discounts were available for me today.

Just called and cancelled my ST Max as well.

No other discounts on my account and was offered a little more than half off. Declined the offer as I have truly lost interest in the NFL for a variety of reasons: replays take forever, too many penalties, rule changes for the worse (in my opinion), etc. The kneeling and politics of the NFL were the final straw for me. Decided my acceptable price would be $100 for Max, and would keep it if I was offered that number. With more games being broadcast on local and national channels, seems like the price should be going down, not up...but that's not how business works, I guess!

Been with DTV for 15+ years and this will be my first year without the Ticket. Looking forward to having my Sundays back!

Total number of tv windows this yr is 109 which is actually exactly the same as 2015.
In fact theres even 1 less window than the 110 of 2016.

See what I mean? You were just told by a loyalty agent yesterday that nothing was available and then today you call back and suddenly you have discounts available. Like I said, it's almost like some agents just don't want to help. I find it hard to believe that those same credits weren't available yesterday.

I just got off the phone and got the $60.00 off for 12 months plus she said I was going to get SundayTicket MAX for free, I told her I was told the same thing last year only to find out it was not true on the free NFL Sunday ticket part however she gave me her badge number and the confirmation which she said she noted on the account that it would be free for 2018 . I did end up last year getting it for free after several phone calls and having to pay for it upfront and then they reimbursed me back . Hope I do not have to go through that hassle again guess I will see when I get my next bill

Good thing you got her badge number and a confirmation because I could read your post both ways. ST Max for free pre credits or ST Max IS free post credits. Good luck!

She told me that it was $60 off for 12 months because I had $35 off for lat 12 months and that was ending this month. But she claimed I had Sunday Ticket for free , but like you said , I will hope see is right. I called the loyalty and retention departments she said(got phone number from a previous post)
I will update after my next statement.
Thanks to everyone who posted about the $60 credit , it helps to know what might be possible

I just called. Full price of $65.99 for six months but a 12 months of $60 discount. Seems to fair to me so I jumped on it.

If you have an online DIRECTV account, you should be able to log into it and see if it's on there. Recent activity will show anything added by the agent. My NFL Sunday Ticket is showing up under my sports subscriptions. The agent is saying the NFL Sunday Ticket MAX was already on your account for free where she didn't have to do anything with it? If that's the case, yeah, I'm not buying that. If she did leave a note on your account like she said she did saying it would be free for this season, that should definitely help you. Sometimes though, they say they leave certain notes when they don't.

I just called, and I didn't need MAX and didn't want to extend my agreement. So I got regular ST for 48.99 x 6 months. And instead of the $60/month and one year extension, I got $40 off x 12 months without extending. So basically paying 8.99 for 6 months of regular ST and then getting additional 6 months of $40 off. Good enough deal for me!

I have seriously been considering cutting the cord and start streaming instead. The NFL ST is really the only reason I am keeping the dish, but the prices are crazy high compared to streaming. I am hoping within a year or two there will be a better streaming alternative to the NFL ST, even if it would be pay per view live games, etc. The delayed play of NFL Game Pass doesn't work for me.

My deal last year was similar, barring a discount on HBO, instead of the Sports Pack. I was successful through the website chat, after a failed phone call a week prior. My contract end date is at the very end of August, so I'll wait to make the call here in a couple of weeks.

Good luck to everyone pursuing a Sunday Ticket deal! I concur with others that it felt like discounts and deals were being handed out earlier at this point in 2017. Hopefully it's just a late start on the process.
