I had to resend authorizations too.
I'm with you. I've logged in and am looking at my receivers, but I do not see any "refresh services" option. Maybe it's my browser and/or OS?
look on the right side of the page under my setup and you will see message 721, click that and it will get you there
You can also just type in Error 721 in the search box after logging in. That should show you a list of links including "DIRECTV - Troubleshooting - On-Screen Message - 721" Click on that and scroll down to where it says "Finally, try resetting the affected recever by clicking here." Clicking there will take you to the Resend Authorization screen. Yeah, it's not the most direct route, but it works.

Resending authorization didn't work so I had CSR try removing the HD Extra Pack off my package and then re-add it and it worked. This CSR said she learned something new.
I am at work and saw the postings. Turned on my HR20 via slingbox on my cellphone and saw the channel not subscribed message. Did the refresh your services and it came on right away.
"refresh" worked for me. had 721 prior.
Thanks, I had to take this route as there was no 721 message on my setup page. This worked.
One quick note...
The "ci" bug is HUGE and it doesn't go away. ugh
24 was originally in DD5.1 audio but CIHD is passing only a DD2.0 mix, I wish they would get with the program and pass the original audio format along.

Where is the link on the DirecTv web site to resend the authorization? I have been searching for an hour! At this point I must be overlooking something simple.
Go here, http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPageNR.jsp?assetId=3460052&footernavtype=5 and then click on the Please Call Customer Service X721, after you logon to your account (if you haven't already) you'll be at the reauthorization screen.

But on the guide this channel is lit dim, like they do for channels you don’t subscribe to, are we not suppose to be getting it until tomorrow?

If you weren't supposed to get the channel...
And if if was only meant for engineering cards...
And if they screwed it up...
...Then resending authorization wouldn't have fixed it!!!
The resend authorization didn't add any "engineering tiers" to your access card.
The resend authorization merely added the UPDATED TIER for the HD EXTRA package which is needed to authorize CIHD.
Why directv didn't update the access cards nationwide prior to adding the channel, I have no idea, but I sure hope they do it soon so we don't have to keep repeating the fix to the members every day for the next week.
