Hello, I'm sorry to not go through the search function like I should- it's a long story- but I just got a 622 to replace my 721, (which worked like a champ, if only it were HD!) It was wired to main TV in LR, went wireless to Video 2 on TV in BR, and 301 was in BR, and wired to Video 1 in BR TV. And my wife COULD UNDERSTAND it! 99% of the time, she just used live tuner on 301 in BR.
I haven't even had time to look at the back of the 622- but can I send a signal from there to the 301 in the BR, so my wife can just watch live whatever she wants, diffo channel regardless of what 622 is doing?

CN- 622 confuses wife. I've got a quad switch. How can I get signal from sat to 301 in BR and let it use its tuner on BR TV?

If this won't work as-is, what do I need on the roof, or switch, or 622, to make it work? Idea is for the totally separate tuner working on 301 in BR..Can I just split wire to input on 622, run it to 301?

TYIA, and pardon my rudeness for barging in here without doing my research...

The 622 and 301 can not communicate with each other since they are both receivers. If the 301 was connected in the BR before, do you still have the cable from the dish there? If so, just hook the 301 back like it was. Otherwise you will have to get a cable run from the dish, or from a switch, into the BR.

If you set your 622 to Dual mode and use the BR TV as TV2, it basically works like a single tuner receiver. There is not a lot to be confused about if you ignore the other 622 features. You might want to set the 622 so that it defaults to recording on the TV1 tuner and not the TV2 tuner if you will be recording during times she wants to watch TV2. It can be confusing when you turn on the TV and the tuner is recording something you don't want to watch at that time.
