I am visiting friends in Missouri with Dish. Their 311 went loopy this morning. Won't acquire the satellite signal although their 622 is fine. They called Dish and they want to charge a service call and will charge them up to 150 for a replacement. Unfortunately, they dropped the wire service plan recently, if that would even help. I am a DirecTV customer, and my recourse would be to get to customer retention. What do Dish customers do? I want to help them as they are happy with Dish except for this problem. BTW, the 311 has been doing a reboot of sorts (some satellite update thing) every 2 weeks or so since they got it in October. Thanks in advance.
