Had my old AT9 5LNB changed to a 3LNB. It's a single line from LNB to a splitter. From splitter one line to SWM power pack, one to DVR and one to a HD receiver. During the satellite setup the 103 odd transponder test fails. Installer blamed a cloud and managed a waiver from DTV. Still fails. I have very strong signals on the 103 for my LIL HD (trans 16, 19 and 20) stations. Basically, at the end of the day, is something I even need to concern myself with?

Rerun setup and see if it passes now.

I've rerun a few times to no avail. I'll post signal strengths tonight.

Clouds probably don't knock out one polarity without taking out the other polarity (although they could move across during the test). The radio frequency difference probably isn't enough to distinguish either.

My money is on the idea that the installer was done -- just not with your installation.

With those signal strengths you should not be getting any failures.
Does the test fail on both the DVR and the receiver?

I was about to reply yes, but decided to retest again. Interestingly the DVR, for the first time, passed. However, the receiver still fails the odds on 103. I have cloudless skies to the SW so maybe there was something to the cloud argument? HR23 and H23 BTW.
