Question I have HR 54 and 61k LG C9, I don’t know why but when I turn on a 4K channel it seems fine at first but then after a few minutes the video gets choppy and stuttering almost as if it’s in slow motion, it happens only on 4K channels, any clues?

That’s strange. Check to see if your antenna is aimed correctly. Go into satellite setup and test the 103cb satellite (where the 4K channels are), and see if you get a good signal. If that doesn’t work, you might have a system bug or worst case scenario, defective equipment. Hope this helps!

This has been discussed on here. One of the software updates messed up the frame rates on 4k channels. The only solution is to go to a 720p channel (espn, fox, abc) and then go back to the 4k channel.

I notice the sane thing but it’s just the video. Almost like every other frame is lost.. the video is not smooth. No audio issue on my end. Is D* aware of the bug? Is a fix in the works?

I have the new firmware. The problem persists.
The only workaround for the problem is to first tune to ESPN (Channel 206), and then retune to any 4K channel.

Unless you have 1264. You don’t have it

4k seems smoother now but I still get random freezes on my C61k from time to time. The freezes are for about 3-4 secs at a time. Does not happen on my HR54.

Good post! Made me think the problem was definitely in the C61K.

I am already am using a high quality HDMI cable. I think the issue is with the C61k. How do these sorts of issues get reported to D*?

Try another one. Also check your coax going to your client

I swapped cables and the issue remains.. random freezes on the C61k only.
