    1) How come Dish never considered keeping a full market on 61.5? As the local network stations can be used for distants - I was thinking it would be nice to have a complete market (with CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox) for customers subscribing to Sky Angel, HD service or international programming that may want a different set of distant networks or only want distant nets without the additional Dish 500.

    WNEG 32 (CBS) is a CBS affiliate there, but there is currently no ABC, NBC or Fox stations on 61.5 to my knowledge.

    2) Does Dish charge a $9.99 VOD fee, or $4.99 VOD fee for 510 customers if a customer has Sky Angel or a $5 Access Fee instead of AT 50?

    This should be in the DISH forum... Please move it there.

    Hi Brett,

    Most people don't want a second dish no matter how free it is. Putting the most-watched channels on Dish 500 and now all locals on SuperDISH makes more sence to get more subscribers from the area with locals.

    As to WNEG Taccoa, Georgia...This is a secondary CBS affiliate to the Greenville, SC market. I guess if Dish could pick up:
    WMUR TV 9 secondary ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH from the Boston Market;
    WNNE secondary NBC from Hartford, Vermont in the Burlington TV market;

    For Fox, currently there are no markets where there is a secondary Fox that is truly different than the primary. KFXA TV 28
    Cedar Rapids, IA and KFXB TV 40
    Dubuque, IA is the only market I see listed with channels that had some different programming in the Cedar Rapids market. But if Champaign comes up, it will also have two different fox channels in the same market.

    As for PBS, there USED to be a PBSx "mirror" channel upliked to 61.5° on channel 830 or 835, but it was removed by Dish. It probably was done for one of two reasons:
    1) the take rate didn't make it worth while
    2) they wanted to have the Sky Angel only subs get a second dish to see the channel and be lured to the dark side. :)

    If the answer is #2, there is no chance you will see anything like what you are asking for. Also keep in mind that 61.5° is jam-packed right now. It may change in the future, but not right now.

    As to your second question, the 510 has a $5 VOD fee unless you have America's Everything Pack. The $9.99 fee for AT50 is gone and replaced with the 4.99 fee after enough people told Dish to take a flying leap.

    There is NO $5 access fee for Sky Angle only subscribers. If Dish is charging this to anyone reading this, call to complain! You DO NOT have an account with Dish therefore the Dish fees (except the receiver fee) do not apply.
    Unfortunately Sky Angel only subs are NOT eligible for "new customer" deals with Dish.

    See ya
