For the last couple of days I have been getting 771 messages on many channels on both my HR20 and my HR21. I looked up the first dozen (202,207,212,215,216,229,231,241,242,244,247,248 all in HD) and according to sixto's list they are all on DirecTV 10. Nothing has changed with my setup, and my Monday recordings were fine. There are no weather issues. Any ideas?

    Here are my sat numbers:

Actually, I;d say you have something else going on here.. I'm basing that on not only your signal;s for d10 being so low, but why on earth do you have no signal at all for 110, and why on earth do you have signal for almost every transponder at 99s... Have you tired rerunning sat setup?

DO you have more than one receiver? Do all receivers have the same signal strengths?

Both my receivers show similar numbers. I actually lost my 110 signal quite a long time ago. I only had one HD-DVR then, so I couldn't determine if it was the receiver or the dish. ESPN HD was leaving 110 at the time, so I didn't worry about it. Since I have a second HR now, and it does the same thing, I know it's the dish for that. I have no answer for the 99s question. I double-checked to make sure I posted my numbers correctly, and I did. I didn't know those numbers were unusual. When re-running the sat setup, how do I determine which dish type I have? When I look at the Solid Signal site it looks like the original AT9. Also, which signal strength number sets match up to which satellites (i.e. DirecTV 10, 11, and so on)? Thanks for the help.

You need your dish realligned and do you have any switch in the system? That could also have something to do with it. Your 103 signals are very low.

So you have the dish with the side car? It has a couple cables going from he main lnb assembly to the 2 small lnbs on the side? Call Directv and have them come adjust your dish.. While they are there, they will actually change your dish to a new one... Directv installers have a standing order to automatically replace any side car dish....

Your issue is in the dish, would be my guess... Unless as ben said, you also have a multi switch that has gone bad, but I imagine its still the dish.. Call em up and get a service call...

I don't have a switch. I have four cables from the dish that go to a grounding block, then 2 each run to an HR.

What would be the cost in having D* come for that service call? I don't have the protection plan. What would be the easiest way to talk to Customer Service to get what I need?

    Are there any cheaper options?
