What can be causing 771 on recordings after everything has been replaced? The customer has 1 HD DVr and everything has been replaced, new dish, lnb, ground block, line from the dish, receiver, and cable to the receiver that comes straight from the ground block and it only happens when he watches 1 thing and records another. The system is swim 3

A little more info might help.
What are his signal strengths on the 3 satellites ?
Is the Power inserter connected and the light is green on it ?
What model is the DVR ?

Yes everything connected correctly and the light is green... it is an hr22-100 now... the original receiver was an hr 24-100 and all the signal is in the mid to high 90s. It happens when he watches something and records something else and it says it was partially recorded and pulls up the delete nkw option

Wow, nasty that he went backwards for his receiver.
Did he have the same problem on both receivers ?
Where is this person ? Is he in one of the areas that has recently been having very bad weather ?
Is this receiver hooked up with just 1 coax and no Broad Band converters ?

    Chicago -...
Is the Satellite Setup correct? Is the DVR set to use both tuners?

Watching one and recording another involves both tuners. What happens if he records two separate shows at one time?

The sat set up is correct... after everything was replaced the only thing left was the hr24 and at the time our warehouse had hr22s and that's all I had to swap it with... at this point I'm confused and thinking it's an electrical issue or some kind of interference because it happened whether it was connected to the Internet or not and I even removed the ground wire from the ground block

Also it happened on a bright and sunny day, no line of sight problems

    Connecticut,...
The ground wiring should never cause anything, unless you got a short in your house with your main wiring. In that case, you better call an electrician, it can be dangerous.
Anyway, I doubt it's an electrical issue. If you got a protection plan, call DirecTV for a truck roll and tell them your DVR isn't performing as it should, you want something better (HR24).
Did he put in an external receiver DECA? At the back of your receiver?
