Hey D*, I really would appreciate it if you would stop showing this dumb message on my screen. I know there is signal loss on satellite 1. Can you maybe just let me clear the message so I can watch the football game on a channel NOT having issues???

D* does not monitor these forums. You may want to consider posting on their official forum.

Having said that, someone here may chime in to help with your signal loss issue.

why not just fix the 771? or if it's a tuner issue, go to single tuner mode? swap the cables so the good tuner is now tuner 1?

First Suggestion - Check all your outside RG-6 Connections for water damage -- ALL of them - and if you can Fix them and your problem will go away - If NOT -Then call for a Service visit! as you may have water in your lnb

The OP could call and ask for a service call if all of the normal procedures do not resolve the issue....Just sayin'

Of course he could - But he could look at all the outside connections for free as well first

I suspect he was talking about an issue as a result of the line of storms yesterday, where it is just enough to knock one line out. It is obnoxious you just can’t clear it out.

Just swap over the cables, and then go to single tuner if you have to.

I think my LNB is going bad. I’m getting all 0’s on the odd transponders on 103ca and 103cb, with the 771 message on test channels 9508 and 9510.

Anyone else having issues, or is my LNB going bad?

    Thanks

I don’t know if this means anything or not but I am trying to watch Football today on my local FOX channel. And the pixelation is just unbelievable. I know it has been there a while, but this is just getting out of hand. I almost cannot watch anymore.

Not sure what you mean but I’ve rebooted the receiver twice.

I mean cold reboot - by removing power from STBs, switches, LNBF

Had the same type of thing back in the summer which included 771 on ch. 229, 231, & 302 and others. It was sporadic at first and after a few days it was a steady 771 on the affected channels. It was a bad LNB.

    Yeah I did all that.

Yeah I’m not getting certain channels either (208, 230, 233, 240, etc). I think my LNB is bad. Noticed what appeared to be moisture in the clear cover that covers the LNBs.

Lesson learned - always have a spare LNB on hand. :(

Shocking, I was able to get an appointment for tomorrow. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

Lucky you. Took them 10 days to get to me. Hope that solves it.

All fixed. Guy showed up 10 minutes early (1150) and was here about 40 minutes (1230). Changed out the LNB and adjusted the dish, getting all 90’s now. :)
