Did anybody else notice a failure of 99c from about 7:55pm to 8:05pm EST tonight?

Or do I have an equipment problem?

Whew....I thought it was just me.

I am so happy to hear that this is affecting others. This literally happened at the worst time for me. I have been troubleshooting some receiver issues for days(I have lots of receiver BTW) I thought that I had finally tracked down the issue to a faulty receiver causing issues on all of my other receivers.

Anyways, I replaced that receiver and was watching TV just 2 minutes before I lost 99. At first, I lost both 99 (ca) and 99 (cb). As of right now, (cb) came back and a few transponders on (ca) have come back. I have signal on 6/11 transponders on (ca). This might be normal as I don't recall how many of the transponders on 99 (ca) are supposed to have signal.

    Whew!!!

I thought the loss of signal was due to the lake effect snow bands here in Upstate NY. I wiped the dish clear of snow and it didn't fix the problem. This isn't good if the satellite just blinked!

Noticed the issue here in the Seattle area as well. Does 99 have a history of issues, or most likely just a "one off" anomaly?

same blip here, in 52240. Checked all three receivers, thought the LNB had finally bitten the dust. Glad to hear the problem was source related.

The problem only lasted for about 10 minutes, if you're still getting nothing on 99ca, check the following channels:
    202 CNNHD
    206 ESPNHD
    213 MLBNHD
    220 NBCSHD
    241 SpikeHD
    278 DSCHD

If you don't get anything on them, try rebooting your receiver.

If both 99ca and 99cb failed it couldn't have been a satellite problem, must have an issue ih one of their broadcast centers.

It seems that some transponders on 99ca are reading 0 now, for example transponders 11, 13, 15 & 16. Had some readings before the outage. Not sure if it's related, just an observation.
Have readings on other transponders on 99ca.
