A few days ago, a B29 Superfortress flew into our local airport. While an actual ride was out of my budget, just seeing it take off and land was cool. This picture is one my wife took as I was getting a look inside.

Yeah, rides cost from $600 to $1500, depending on the seat. They didn't seem to have any problem filling them, along with some other planes that were there, including a P51 and a Stearman biplane.

It was slightly ominous going through the bomb bay, knowing that two of these planes dropped the atomic weapons.

If you saw a P-51 with FiFi, it was my nephew flying it. He also sells rides. The B-29 is from the CAF based in Texas.

I'd have loved to take a ride in either one, just not in the cards. Those planes aren't cheap to fly and maintain.

Got buzzed by it today, when I was out on my bike on the trails around the airport. But now I guess I just have the B17 to look forward to, this fall.
