Doesn't look like a plug to me, there's no way to pull it out.
No model numbers or serial numbers on the box. Plain brown. The model number by the red button is R24DEV-100.
Should be one thread, just for the H24. (so we don't need to look lots of places ).
I hesitate to create it since I don't have one!
One of you guys want to "own" an H24 thread for every question, comment, pic today?
That would be a bit odd, unless of course the powers that be don't want this group to have this unit on their network at any cost, nor send reports.
No optical DD output, that IMHO is not good.
Duh... built in DECA.
Yes - it's a rubber dust plug - in the Ethernet Port.
That may be just for us, true. And DECA may be built in afterall.
SAT IN (SWM-1)
Agreed, some people rely on the optical out.
For you inspecting the photos...
...note the 1080p LED addition...
COAX out is there...but not optical...
Nor should you The object is to test DECA here ..
I'm guessing (don't know) that it will be OK to use at some point, let's just stick to the plan during the trials, though.
 Didn't I already say it was built in somewhere?
Ok, my guess was right.
This looks like a "true set top box", E.I.: a receiver thats mostly meant for those who just "hook it directly up to a TV", or "a good average DirecTV customer".
I would assume that the HR's would have the extra bells and whistles.
I would also assume that the price point on this unit would be less expensive, and thats going to be a big win for DirecTV for 2010.
I did not see where it was confirmed. I musta missed that.
well now, it does look like as i need to go out and buy some cables after all.
If we don't have any DECA stuff yet, should we leave it off the network?
Power LED is the blue DirecTV logo on the left.
Maybe I didn't, but I know I've told some people. DECA is definitely inside the 24s, so there is no need to use use the adapter (which technical is DECA .. if it's inside it would just be DEC :lol
