There's nobody around who wants to see AT200 more than I do, but realistically, I don't know that anyone can cobble together enough new channels to create another tier that folks would want to spend yet another $9 on. If it were like D* TC+, where it costs about $2-3, that would be different. IMHO, a lot of AT150's value comes from the Encore/TMC channels. Maybe E* could throw in Cinemax for AT200? How about some wild, unfounded speculation? * Maybe E* will ramp up its talk of dropping programming, then announce that they'll get rid of it as of a particular date, then "relent" and bring the almost-deleted channels up to AT200 for those folks who really, really want it. * Or ... one day, maybe next rate increase, I expect that they'll overhaul the entire tier structure. The new "Good" package will roughly correspond to AT50, the Great package will be AT100 with a few non-Encore AT150 channels sprinkled in, and the Superior package will be AT200. Good will maintain the AT50 price freeze, if necessary. Great will be priced only a little less than current AT150, "but we've got programming fees to pass on, and just look at all you get." AT200 will stay $9-10 above Great. Or, as often happens, I could be completely wrong. But it's fun to talk about.
