the CCK-W might be the issue in the fact that the CCK-W connects the DirecTV system to your routers' DHCP table wirelessly. so any minor interruption in the wireless signal means that you entire system gets disconnected from your router. Most devices have the same problem but we dont notice it because those devices only connect themselves. also these devices auto connect after or at least try to auto connect after a minor interruption. I think if DirecTV were to build the software to try to auto connect after this kind of interruption WITHOUT an external message, many people would not be having these sort of issues

I know when we first tested the WCCK, it would drop off the WiFi every day from my 2Wire. Using the ethernet port was solid.
They came out with a firmware update to resolve this and it has with the few 2Wires I've had ever since.
Even before the WCCK, and the BB DECA came out, static IPs was needed for some routers.

This may be a "chicken or egg" issue, so I'm not saying something more couldn't be done to the WCCK, but it works with a lot of modems, and yet doesn't at all with others, and yet does in the hardwired mode to the problem router.
