I am home bound for a while, I watch Day through Night late. Once again only at night. Which keeps leading to believing Directv is doing something effecting the Bandwidth. Last night I did not have the problem. I had the same room lighting I always have. During the day it is quite fast since they updated the Guide Operations.

I have been with Directv since inception. I can assure you I am not recording two things at once. But thanks for the thought. I remember when they were running MPEG1 and when they made the switch to MPEG1.5 what a difference in picture Quality.

It's possible that your receiver could be downloading watch instantly PPV's during that time.

The only other suggestion I have is to tune to channel one and press the following buttons red, red, blue, blue, yellow, green. Some times to get it to work you have to tune to another chnnel then back to channel one. If this works properly you should see a message in the lower left hand side of your screen that says something like "NV FLASH RAM CLEARED" You will barely be able to see the message because it's in white lettering on top of a blue and white DIRECTV logo.

Thats interesting, its the first time I have heard about this. I will give it a try. How long does this process take.
No on the PPVs they would show up in my list.

I have to agree, but this has only been over the last two weeks. My HR-24 becomes very slow in the evening. However, I have not had an issue over the last two days. I use RF remote also.

I've got a fluorescent light fixture that really messes up reception of all but the very strongest AM radio stations. With our government encouraged dumping of incandescent lighting, I wonder if some of the new fluorescent bulbs are emitting some RF interference that messes with remote operation.
