Guys ... be respectful of each other and the other readers of the forum!
Keep the language family friendly and use that report post button.

As for this thread, let's stay on topic - annoyance at all the hate threads - and not turn it into yet another "I hate ..." thread. Please?

Wow - a thread about too much bashing of CSRs and installers turns into a bashing of people who explain why they don't agree there is too much bashing...

    How ironic.

I think a big tolerance and patience stick needs to be swung around cuz just about everyone needs a good old smack from it... In my opinion, people will vent, let them and don't egg them on.

Let someone start a thread, a couple of "sorry to hear about that" responses and we can all move on as the thread fades to page 2, 3, 4... The problems seem to start when people (who weren't there) decide they need to judge the actions and behaviors of the frustrated customer who came here to vent. Just let them vent and move on...

FlyBono, I mocked your grammar because you ripped somebody else for the same reason. It's like calling somebody a "bad driver" and having 12 speeding tickets on your record. If you're going to rip somebody for something, you better be 100-percent correct. I would love to know why you have to curse at people and use all of the language that most of us agree should not be in here. Is somebody there holding a gun? This isn't a bar. It took 16 calls with Samsung recently just to get a shipping label for my DVD Recorder. Did I curse once? No. No point in doing it. If you speak to the CSRs in a civil manner, you'll get the same. If you whine and complain (notice, I didn't need to use the "p" word) on here, you'll get it back. I don't know what you do for a living, but if you had somebody cursing at you, I'll bet you'd get tired of it pretty quickly. Can you imagine your wife coming home and saying, "this jerk kept cursing at me"? You'd probably want to go out and crush the guy. Did you also notice the only person here using derogatory terms and off-colored language towards people is you? Just relax.
Overall, most people here have pleasant experiences. There's nothing wrong with venting, but when it crosses the line with street language (this is a "family-friendly" site) and starts getting to a personal attack, then it's too far.
If you look back at all of the posts and all of the CSRs, there was only one common denominator in all of them. I'll let you figure that one out.
    Have a great day!

When everybody has a problem with the same company, it's probably the company. When one person has the same problems with every company, it's probably the person. It seems like you simply have a lot of anger and want to spread it around. From what I can tell you never even try to resolve issues calmly and like an adult.

Everybody makes mistakes. If a CSR tells you they are going to do something and mess it up and something else happens it doesn't mean they lied. It means they goofed. And, from my experience they are usually more than happy to right the wrong.

CSR's are people. They react to things like people. If I was a CSR and you called up and immediately lit into me about how you were lied to and we were all jacked up and started cussing, you can bet that my desire to help you would greatly diminish.

You might try in the future calmly explaining the problem and if the CSR is unable to help, calmly ask to speak to their supervisor and explain your issue. You'll be amazed at how far a little niceness and respect goes.

I have no issue with venting. I've done it myself. There is a point where it goes over the top though. When people start accusing others of lying with no proof and launching vicious attacks on entire groups of people and are generally vulgar and nasty about it is when I have a problem.

My point is that it's possible to complain about a product without personal attacks on the people producing the product.

    Like so many:
I have used this forum to vent.
    I've had troubles with CSRs.
Somewhere along the way "dealing with" D*, I've learned how to deal with CSRs.
    "Peeing on them" isn't it.
I find this true with every CSR & company I call.
If I don't get the service I am looking for, I "nicely" ask for help to get to someone that can help me.
    Can it be frustrating?
Sure, but imagine being where they are.
Do I need to make their life worse?
How is that going to help anything.
Being nice, getting them to laugh, has gotten me what I want and them "wanting to help" me with any "special key" on their computer.
OK, end of my two cents :D
