That sounds like the new customer promo. So you are going to be OK with watching the NFL Sunday Ticket games in SD? Just to be sure you are clear on this, the $10/mo HD access fee does not apply to NFLST. If you want to get the games in HD, you will need to pay $99 for SuperFan.

I received 3 ppv's, only watched one, then the remaining 2 expired. :(
(And until that one PPV I watched was the ONLY one I've ever watched).

You can be proactive and possibly get the anniversary gift you want. I called and asked for the Premium Dept. I told the CSR that it looked like I should be getting an anniversary reward pretty soon, and she agreed and asked if there was any premium channel I was interested in. I told her I wanted to get Showtime when Dexter started on Sept. 27, so she hooked me up with 3 free months as an anniversary gift, starting Sept. 27.

BTW, she also said at this time she was able to give me promos of 3 free months of Starz and Cinemax (coupled with the HBO I already have).

Anyway, it nevers hurts to call and ask what they can offer as a promo.

Took the offer but I'm still skeptical. I foresee a battle with Directv. Very strange that they are so willing to give this away. They've been calling twice a day for a week.

    We'll see...

So, I get the 3 months Showtime loyalty gift. Does it go away after 3 months, or does it stay and I start getting billed for it?

I also got the same thing. It would be nice if they had a choice of 2 or 3 things.

I took the deal last year, free Premier with ST. I called the Sat. before the games kicked in and asked about SF and the rep included it for free, second HD DVR for $99 too. As was stated, I just had to mark the calendar to call in and cancel Premier before it kicked in. It's my understanding it's offered via phone, not through the Loyalty program.

The hope is that you will keep the Premier package at $110/month. Make sure to call up and revert back to your normal plan right before the 5 months is up.

The anniversary gifts just expire after the 3 months. You don't need to do anything.

12 years got me three free months of Game Lounge!! Woo Hoo!! Something I totally never use, never have used, and so far, have not used. Guess it's better than nothing, although I would prefer a free month of programming or my gift last year, $5.00 per month for 10 months.

Online billing is showing the new info now. They removed ALL charges from my account and added NFL Sunday Ticket @ $59.99/month.

If I had to guess their strategy its trying to make it appear as though more people are subscribing to NFL Sunday Ticket. Possible contract renegotiations with the NFL soon?

I don't think that is the reason since they recently signed a new agreement. Now it could be that as they try to sell the company, they want the NFL ST subscriptions to look good.

I believe the current contract is through 2012. I think the notion that it helps with the ST sub numbers is valid.
