You do realize that with the current interpretation, your individual score benefits the most because you get both yeilds. If you would only consider places where teams are stopped and held back (airports, closed buildings, etc), you would lose the yield for leg 11.

Oh, puh-lease! Like I've understood ANYTHING about how this contest is scored, or even what my answers were! :D

I answered off the top of my head, with all of 3 seconds thought, and one of those was about donuts!

If I did well in this thing, it's PURELY because of luck.

AND, on top of that, I'm out of donuts.

Damn my stupidity & my 921.

I my timer fired to record. About 15 minutes in, I realized that I had not extended my timer to record the second hour and I had to run out the door to get my son from soccer practice.

So, not thinking, I went into my timers and edited the end time and rushed out the door. I did not notice that when I edited the running timer IT STOPPED RECORDING. When I got home, I noticed the timer was not running. It recorded the 1st 16 minutes and I missed the next 60 minutes of the show.

I must say it was a great finale (what I saw of it).

I still have it on Tivo if anyone needs, but it seems most people download it these days. But if someone needs a version with closed captioning...let me know. I'll keep it until the weekend.

Well there around 71 days up for grab in the final leg, so it could be possible, but I wouldn't worry too much about beating the inactive players.

We all know the answer to that question if the time is correct. Either he guessed REALLY fast and missed a ton of questions or he had the questions ahead of time.

I just heard a news report on the final - it looks like U/J were about 45 minutes ahead of Romber. It seemed closer than it was...

First, he is really a she. By my scoring, she gained over 20 points between the two legs, so I'd say the former. The times were impressive and at first glace seem might suspicious, but I'd give her the benefit of the doubt. I had some similarly quick times early on the season, on a harder question IMHO. Neither detour he took was very hard. Anyone who has seriously used Expedia or Travelocity could have quickly got the flight information, and the Representative's name was a very simple google search as well.

Edited to add after Mark's post below: I too don't think she cheated or anything was not on the up-n-up. All of her submittal times were excellent throughout the season. I'd like to know her searching technique as well.

I'd like to point out that I did NOT accuse heathadeisel of cheating, or anything else. I seriously would like to know how she could read, search and answer both sets of questions that fast, so that I can use those same techniques next time around! (if there is a next time...)

LOL! Honestly, I don't want to win first (no use for that certificate - shooting for second ;)), so I just randomly guessed on most questions and for some reason I guess well on things like this. And I used to travel a lot so Expedia is really easy for me to use.

There were only two other things other then the number of bunch points that I pointed out that I found after going back and watching the episode.
Amber and Joyce very clearly are shown in window seats flying to Jamacia. Maybe did you confuse Q8 wth Q9?
Rob opened the initial clue for Team Romber. Rob was standing to the left and forward of Amber at the starting mat. You don't actually see Rob's face, but unless they quickly swap places twice and Amber has some manly hands, it's Rob.
Ron also can be clearly seen opening the clue.
    I agree with Joyce.

Just letting you know I'm still going through the old data... probably be till the end of the week before I have conclusive results for the contest.

I still need to rewatch the finale again to doublecheck my results, and will let you know about your comments cdru.

So are you finding any mistakes in the posted data, or are you rewatching every episode to make sure you got everything correct?

Other than the finale, I'm mostly just going through and making certain the spreadsheet info is correct. No need to rewatch the previous episodes. You folks had your chance to argue against the answers I posted for older questions. I just want to make certain the data is graded correctly based on those answers.

cdru, you mentioned that you had your own spreadsheet. Can you email it my way?

Well what fun is giving away the results and ruining the suprise. Figure 'em out for yourself.:p

The spreadsheet was over a meg in size for some strange reason, so I sent you a PM with a link to download it instead of e-mailling it to you. It was "synced" up with yours through week 10, unless you've made any changes. No guarantees on week 11 or 12 but I believe I'm at least very close if nothing else.
