Its amazing you have so much difficulty reading the chart. ;-)

Currently you are in a 3 way tie for 5th position. By not turning in a move, you dropped down from 4th.

Once we have the final results from tonight (all thats graded are the detours and time related bonus) we'll see where you sit.

I'm bad with charts. :) Sadly, I actually worked as a bookkeeper just out of college. Almost got fired from that job, too.

Can someone tell me where I am when it's finally graded? I won't see the show until Friday.

If my numbers are correct, you are in a 3 way tie for 8th place at 37 days, 17 days out of 1st place.

Next week you need to yield markdl and/or heathadies. :)

Final results posted. Cap, you are in a tie for 8th as cdru states, with Mark and heathadies in 1st and 2nd respectively.

To advance in this game, you need to do at least one of the following, preferably more than one:

    A) win a fast forward (least reliable method, but fastest jump)
    B) answer detour very quickly (best way to advance up at least 1 position, prevent people jumping to your position)
    C) answer standard questions more accurately (fewest point gains)

Doing the detours quickly is the key to this game I believe. The leaders tend to excel at option B and do slightly better on C.

While the FF gets you into fighting position if you fall behind, ultimately its speed of detours that keep you in the lead.

What if I ask all other players to ALSO miss one week, so that things are more "fair" to me, since I was sick? :D

    ...

    Yeah, I didn't think so.

Oh, nobody will stop you from asking. Getting them to agree on the other hand is the hard part. ;)

Danny, I think you need to rethink how you score Question 4...I hate the fact that there was no penalty for getting it wrong this week (especially because I got it right!). I think you should have a minumim penalty of a day for a wrong answer. That is the way it is with every other question.

Just my opinion, and throwing it out there.

Well, I can't change the scoring retroactively. But I'll rethink it for future questions of this nature.

    Lol. I'll think about it.

You remind me of the guy in my fantasy baseball league that wants to redo our draft because he took Barry Bonds in the first round. He too can ask. Not sure if it will do either of you any good.

I'm just joking around, my friend. I wouldn't want special treatment, and wouldn't accept it were it offered. :)

    Danny,

On the question about Meredith, you specifically asked "What is his military history and what duty did he perform while in service that is considered very honorable?"

I had the information that he was a Sentinel, but I did additional searches to try to find his military history. I was wondering if everyone who came in ahead of me gave you his military history, or if you just counted the fact that he was a sentinel as being the correct answer? If that was the case, then I wasted quite some time trying to determine an answer for the two part question that only required an answer tp one part.

Thanks Mark, I was just curious since the score sheet only reflected the fact he was a sentinel and I thought I might have done some extra work.

Yeah, I generally trim the answers down on the scoresheet to save room. Some of you folks like writing essays.
