Ok, I confirm that finding. For some reason the database didn't record the Detour2 answers for that question, but it does show up in the email confirmation.

I'll go through and verify the emails with the results on the database tonight. At first glance it appears that Capmeister and Mark Lamutt also should have credit.

I thought there was an unusually high number of people who chose the no detour route. Heath's, Mark's, and Cap's times were high for skipping the detour. (Edited: you already figured that out while I was typing this).

So then for those that chose "Nobody" for Leg 6, if there ends up not being a roadblock they just get 0 instead of losing time?

I'll be nice and allow that option to be a -2.

I don't get the Leg 6 Detour 2 ruling at all, Since when is the epsiode title "Ho Ho Ho" the same as "Cable Surfing; Gift Exchange; Lake O' Fire"? It was the 68th episode, with a production number of 419.

"Cable Surfing; Gift Exchange; Lake O' Fire" is the official title of the episode according to both the NBC Fear Factor website and TVTome. What site shows the title as "Ho Ho Ho" and why would it be considered correct, when it's not according to the official NBC site?

And yes, to confirm, I did answer Detour 2 on the Leg 5 questions. I know what answer I gave, and can give it again if needed.

I have your answer for that detour, so no need to give it again. Looks like everyone gave the same thing.

You have a good point about the Ho Ho Ho. The primary source for this is a now defunct website that gives this as the title... however its an obviously unofficial recap of the episode.

heathadiesel, can you provide your source? I think I'm leaning on siding with Mark on this one.

Nope, because I just went by what was in the link when I used Google...and it's the same defunct link you are referring to. What can I say - I was in a hurry. :)

    Way to go brothers! Woohoo!

Rob finally has proved how much of an inconsiderate ass he can be. At least the other teams asked if everything was ok. Hopefully karma does exist.

Nah, I don't blame Rob. It was obvious that there was already a crew there to help. (There is a camera car that takes the external pictures in addition to the camera man inside the car)

While Alex/Lynn stopped, ultimately they accomplished exactly the same thing as Rob/Amber... that is nothing. But generally people like to see futile compassion versus harsh reality.

As for the others slowing down and asking what happened and if everyone was alright... if that occurred here in the city I'd be furious at the rubbernecking. ;)

As for the Fear Factor answer... I'll be marking "Ho ho ho" answers as incorrect.

    Richardson,...
DannyR: They were in the middle of nowhere, Africa, so it only makes sense to stop and make sure that everyone is OK. While these teams are competitors, I doubt none of them want to see anyone seriously hurt. On the other hand, I certainly don't want anyone to get face-planted like Gretchen.

Boy, did Rob get salt poured in his wounds at the pit stop.

And, I'm glad to see that they clarified the non-eliminated stop to mean you start with ZERO so that begging isn't allowed until you start racing again. I was surprised to hear Phil say that "All you have is the clothes on your back", although Meredith did get to keep his glasses. It was also nice for the teams to give a few dollars to assist Meredith and Gretchen.

Can you imagine if :ramblinon & Victoria got told "non-elimination, give us everything". Now, all we can hope for is Rob getting the same treatment. It must be the editing, but it seems that the folks are nicer to Amber than to Boston Rob.

Right now, I'm hoping that the final three consist of Uchenna & Joyce, Meredith & Gretchen, and Brian & Greg.

You gotta know Phil had a little chat with Rob about that one.

I liked the new twist where they lose everything. It makes it seem like a lot more of a penalty then just a single episode of inconvienence. Although, it could give them a slight advantage in a later episode because they have less baggage. Look at the demise of Ray and Deana. They lost the race because they went for their bags (among other things). Of course I'm sure that they had things in their bags that could help them on their way.

I was fully expecting the bushmen to stop the bag from swinging and throw the spear for Rob and Amber because he was such a big fan...or the buy at the detour to give them chicken eggs instead of ostrich eggs to fill because he recognized him. I think it is absolutely amazing how many people recognize them quickly where ever they go. I know the camera crew probably doesn't hurt, but I'm not sure if I would recognize them quickly if I bumped into them on the street. The lady in the market cracked me up when she saw/heard Rob, "Boston Rob, I'm so excited!"

Brian/Greg are definitely my favorite team (loved the reading of the clue "Fly directly home..."), Uchenna & Joyce a distant runner up, and I'm not sure about the 3rd team. The remaining 4 teams I have issues of some sorts with. G/M are just lucky I think, they haven't done anything "right". R/A I just want to lose on principal; get rid of the media whores. I'm growing tired of L/A constantly fretting over R/A. R/K I just don't know about.

I disagree. They aren't telling anyone who they are and asking for special treatment--it is being offered to them. The "pretty women" racers have taken advantage of this every season I've seen.

I, too, thought it was tacky that Rob and Amber didn't slow down and ask if everyone was okay at the accident. However, they have taken crap from the others from day one and just had a run-in with Lynn and Alex, who said they would have shared their ride with probably anyone else. I don't know if I would have stopped for them either in that situation. And there was nothing Romber could have done to help anyway.

Ok, I think I'm finished with all the scoring. New files are uploaded into the links above. Please doublecheck your own scoring as I'm sure I probably screwed up somewhere. ;)

    Three-way tie for 1st currently.

You are missing a few things Danny. Marvin doesn't have a score for L5Q3 (5), Coribright's score for L6Q3 has Joyce marked incorrectly wrong, the response bonuses aren't there for L6, and 2 people had Ray/Deana in the pre-season poll but none are marked on the spreadsheet.

Those are the things I noticed at first glance (ok...my glance is a little more then just a glance).

D'oh. Crap. Darn it, I used an old spreadsheet to type in new results. Thats why the response bonus isn't there, as I always do that first.

Thats what I get for doing this when I'm tired. Only got about 5 hours of sleep last night due to a restless pug.

Ok, new results are up. mwgiii... you were already screwed by skipping this week... 10 more days isn't going to kill you much more. ;)

So...where am I now? It looked like 5th place? Or third, sort of, because 3 people are tied for first. Is that right?

I wouldn't have stopped either so long as I saw people helping. If I was first to arrive on scene, that would be different. And Rob's comment was he didn't want to see anyone hurt. But what is he supposed to do? Stop and stand around and pretend he's a friend to these people? He's not--they don't like him (because he's GOOD at these games).

As well, Rob should hardly be upset that Lynn and Alex were playing the game when they didn't want him in their taxi or bus or whatever. Rob doesn't like the taste of his own medicine, but too bad.
