I really debated whether to use an emoticon on that, but I had to rush off before I could find a suitable one. It was of course meant as a total joke (considering I think you beat me by 3 days). I'm sorry if I caused any consternation.

FYI, I've finished my preliminary data checking and will be using the weekend to make absolutely certain of the results.

I'll be announcing the winner first thing monday morning (approximately 10am Eastern).

FYI: the new roadblock questions don't appear to have changed the outcome.

Ack... I hate to do this, but I'm going to have to delay the results a bit. I found an error in my spreadsheet last night. Nothing serious that changes any results, but I want to make absolutely certain of the results. Thus hopefully look for the answers tonight sometime.

Oh, regarding week 12 answers, perhaps while you wait someone can verify something. You folks found two answers for Mt. Apo's height, both found on "reputable websites". Currently I'm giving credit for both, as I can't determine which is the "best" answer. If however someone can determine that one is definately false I'd appreciate it.

The other height is 3144 m.

[IMG]You're killing me man. Have you ever thought about a career in showbusiness? You are doing a great job of hooking us in, making us watch the whole show just to see how it ends.

If I was going to cancel, I would definately have done it before I'd done most of the work for the season. ;)

Know how you feel at the moment Danny...it's a serious PITA going through all of the data checking. None of the players have any idea how much work it is to do it.

Now, see, most of us would think that, but "Playing It Straight" was completely wrappped, meaning all of the work was done, and then they cancelled it anyway. So there's precedent.

And, near as I can tell, the same number of people who were upset by its cancellation as who actually played your game :p

    Drumroll please!

Ok, the results are in, and the winner is....

    cdru!

Ok, you folks already had that pretty much figured out. ;)

He benefited slightly from the roadblock question, gaining two days, but would have won the prize even without it.

Unfortunately I'm working on battery power at the moment, so I have to keep this short. I'll post the 2nd place winner and the results table in the morning... You didn't think I would spill all the beans at once did you?
