I love it when I can pause the game, go do something for awhile and come back and just watch the game and fwd through the commercials, I had no idea what I was missing out on! Rewinding plays on my own to review...that is about the best way to watch a game for me!

If I decide to, say, watch a Green Bay Packer game 3 hours after it's over, I'm not going to find it 'ON DEMAND'..........,

Haha for our house it is! We switched from streaming to Dish bout 6 months ago (still stream a bit) and neither my wife or I ever had a DVR. I had heard about them, but never really cared. Now that I have one though...it continues to impress! lol sorry if I'm like ten years late to the party... Also we just got a wireless Joey this week and we are very impressed so far with that too!

That's the only way I watch Football since 2009 -- Even record the Supper bowl and SKIP all of the ADS & HALFTIME & Everything except the game --It keeps my blood pressure very low

YTTV is the best cloud DVR functionality I have seen so far.

Sometimes I'd rather skip the game and just watch the ads if it was going to be yet another ring for Tom Brady which I have no interest in watching. Well, at least back when Super Bowl ads were more special, they've really gone downhill the past decade.

I think Tivo even offered a "reverse skip" mode for the Super Bowl when they introduced Skip Mode, letting you skip the game and just watch the commercials :)

According to Joey (Friends), its actually a "Moo Point". Cuz you'll be waiting for the cows to come home before AT&T sells.

i doubt att will off load DTV. though it will be interesting to see if this was the last satellite they launched and if they move everyone over to a streaming platform

Even if it is the last satellite. unless they start falling out of the sky they literally dont need one for a decade or more

Yep, I'm sure AT&T believes it is the last satellite but "things change" and if the market for satellite TV stabilizes at a lower but still profitable subscriber level it is always possible we would see more. Personally I'd bet heavily against it, but who knows what the future holds.

They aren't selling because no one is buying a mature, declining business. I wouldn't be surprised to see it spun off.
