It has been moved to 105 and we are still getting signal levels in the 40's here in central VA. Other SAT's signal is 100+. When will AMC -15 be operational?

From what i understand its already being listed as at 105 on Lysngt.com(i think that's the way you spell it). I'm sure that they will test it before it goes on.

You may need to peak your dish, I am also in central Va and get signal levels in mid 60;s.

Do you have any trees that could be blocking part of the signal in front of the dish? Goughl could be right in that the dish may need a little bit of adjustment. The weak signal will cause the signal to go out quicker during a storm.

The dish was installed in Jan. and the installer said that "40s" was typical signal level for 105. The other 2 are always over 100.

I would call some other retailers in your area and get a second opinion to see if they are getting higher signal rates.

I believe there was talk it wont be active for a few monthes after it gets over there as some testing is still going to need to be done... Could be mistaken though....

That make more sense. I guess with this and the other satellite that Dish is likely going to have a big effort in the work for this fall/winter. We know that MPEG-4 is on the way. Also there are new HD STBs in the works. Then there's those portable DVR recording players. Dish likey has a lot of marketing to organize and it will happen all at once.

This should be interesting this fall.

I've got signal levels much higher this morning (6-15). I have never got above low 80's with my 90cm dish and now I have a few hitting 100. I assume they're coming from amc15.

Somethings not right,I often get signals in the high 70s sometimes low 80s here in SWVA. The slightest of moves can make the difference in 40s and 70s though.(adjustments of the dish I mean).

I think I need to re-aim my dish with the differences between odds and evens but you can see why I thought they may have switched over to AMC-15. Some have only jumped 5 points but a few, especially the evens are up over 15 points. Sorry if I was wrong but like I said, I've never seen a 90 reading on 105 since I've put up the dish, so I'm happy now.
