Felt like loosening up a bit here...

During the season we tend to say this singer reminds us of X. Example.. the horrible contestant that kept flipping Simon off during the last two seasons reminded use of female William Devoe. So I thought it would be fun to see what other people think of who the cast reminds them of.

Danny - Sober Robert Downey Jr
    Matt - ??
Kris - Cross between David A. and the dreadlocks guy from last season.
    Anoop - ??
Lil - Fantasia in some ways.
Adam - Twin brother of Stocker Chaning (sp?)
Allison Kelly Clarkson with more bluesy tone
Alexis - Dolly Parton without the you know what.
Megan - A more current version of Brook
    Scott - ??
    Michael - ??

I was trying to remember his name the other day too. Fame is a fickle flame.

A tall, Indian Groucho Marx. [think eyebrows]

    Definitely not Peyton Manning.

Like someone else said, kind of Janis Joplin without the drugs and earth child aura.
    The Big Hair?

Christopher Cross. http:/www.christophercross.com/ Well, ok, maybe not the look, but the sound.

Kris- Looked up the other name.. Jason Castro. So it would be cross between David A and Jason. He has a lot of Jason's Mannerisms.

From a singing point of view and mannerisms point of view.. I totally agree.. Huge Freddie fan and I can see the same flamboyant style and huge vocal range. If I recall right, Frieddie came from similar musical background.

Adam's singing reminds me of Sebastian Bach of Skid Row.

To steal a quote from the great Willie Brown; "Adam Lambert ain't even the beginning of a pimple on the late, great Freddie Mercury's arse..."

Yes.. Freddie is one of a kind.. Just can see some similarities. Time will tell if your statement or your quote holds water. ;)

Does it matter? We're talking about ass-pimples here, and how many Willie Browns talked about 'em? :p

If he were the one and only, he would have died in Tunica, Ms in '52. ;)

But that's ok. No one is saying Adam is the re-incarnation of Mercury, only that he reminds us of him ... as the title of this thread would have us discuss.

BDF regards Mercury highly, and so they should. I know I do. We'll have to see if Adam still reminds us of him as time goes by.

Absolutely ... if we were looking for physical similarities, that is. I don't think we can categorize Adam as a baritone, but he may yet prove me wrong.

I can't speak for Ron, but I know that what reminded me of Mercury was Adam's voice, sheer range, mannerisms and flamboyance. I'm sure The King had some of those as well, just not Adam-like to me.:D

Heh, heh ... who says music isn't subjective?
