If the channel providers want to move to an app instead of MVPDs that is fine ... but it would be good if they allowed their app to run on MVPD equipment.

No. Apps are dumb and flipping around between a million different apps is not user-friendly for watching TV.

I'm wondering if we will get a 4k full time channel from them or just 4k during live games like they have had in the past.

Zero chance of a full time 4K regional sports network, particularly one in a mid-sized market w/o baseball.

I wonder how many Comcast & Dish subs in this market will now flock to DirecTV since they have Altitude back

Not this one. Could give a rats axx about Nuggets and Avalanche. Figured AT&T would cave in on this. Watch the bills go up now!

Last night Altitude put the Avalanche game on KTVD channel 20 again. The entire game was nothing but a bashing of Comcast and Dish Network including telling viewers to switch providers. I think that was the only reason it was televised. But boy do they love AT&T/DirecTV now!

I wonder if we’ll start seeing AT&T advertising and sponsorship in the stadiums soon? ;)

What was funny was a Xfinity ad on the boards inside the rink while they were bashing Comcast.

I was watching a game on NHL Center Ice after D* restored Altitude I found it hilarious they would have a message praising D* & AT&T then moments later bash Comcast / Dish

Well maybe AT&T will swoop in, buy them out and merge them with AT&T Sports Net Rocky Mountain.

Why should the teams own a network anyway?

Kroenke owns so many teams (Including the LA Rams) Altitude is just a drop in the bucket. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment - Wikipedia

If the network goes away they would just have to negotiate with AT&T Sportsnet Rocky Mountain or OTA TV for coverage.

Sounds to me like a rich SOB just wants to be in control of everything in the Denver market.

Comcast is just getting themselves in more hot water. Normally the big controversy would have been D* charging the full $8.49 RSN while Comcast gave a partial credit but their latest moves is pushing this down as a side-story.

The DOJ is already looking into their whole Starz dispute meanwhile their moves of TCM to the Sports Entertainment Package and replacing Cinemax with Comcast's owned Hitz in their high priced bundle packages are now picking up scrutiny as well.

I highly doubt the rights to Nuggets and Avalanche games would go to Comcast in the event Altitude was to fold. Kroenke would probably take them back to AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain along with Rapids & Mammoth games just to spite Comcast.

It is going to be hard to get the DOJ or FCC to care about cable or satellite disputes with 2020 on the horizon when everyone is reading how cable/satellite is dying and streaming is the future. Even if they do court cases take years, and the longer it takes the less Comcast will even care about their TV business...
