2 MX-1's, both over 1 year old, 1 with a 750GB WB attached to PC, other with 1TB WD Green drive attached to HR20, performing flawlessly. I need to clean the fans about every 6 months due to dust, just like I do on all my PC's. I bought another as a gift, fan was noisy and the LED had a broken wire right out of the box. Still waiting on replacement due to the whole gift scenario and me having to get the enclosure back to return it for exchange since I bought it.

The 20-700s will definitely support at least 2TBs. I've done it and I think I could have exceeded 2TBs if I would have had the equipment to do it. The 20-700 I used got to 2TBs and started to drop off the "unkept" programming. And it was running smoothly.

I have one 2TB eSATA running at the moment and it is running fine.

The 2TB drives work either as internals or eSATAs. I have one 2TB eSATA and Richierich has one WD 2TB working in his "owned" 23 as an internal.

It is an awful lot of storage, but I'm getting pretty close to filling up my 2TB and two 1.5TB eSATAs. My wife has to travel a lot and if she's not home I can't clear recordings. Season's almost over, so I guess I'll be alright.

I have three Antec MX-1s. All have Western Digital WD20EADS (2tb) in them.
I've only had them since June. Slight fan noise in a quiet room and the blue lights seem to flicker. On one of them, the blue light has been going on and off rapidly. I don't think you would "normally" notice it. I am now wondering if the litzdog is sending me some morse code??:confused::confused:
Anyone ever notice the flashing lights?
    Best Wishes to All!!

Is it working fine other than the blue lights? I usually unplug the light connector so I don't have to see them.

Thanks dave29!! Yes, they are all functioning normally (as far as I know). I think I recall you mentioning that you had turned off the lights previously somewhere. I like the lights, so I know they is still working. I glance at them each morning as I am going outside. With three of them all in a row, I guess I am in an "unusual position" to compare one to another. (I never claimed to be "normal".)
    Again TYVM!!

I read the blue light flashes as:
    --- -... --.
    .--. .-.. ... .--. -- -- .
    .-.. .. - --.. -.. --- --.

On closer examination of the three MX-1s, I find that although all are laying flat, the blue light shows to differing degrees on each MX-1. I noticed that a second MX-1 blue light was more or less flickering to about the same extent, but since less blue light was showing, it was not so noticeable.

Sorry to bother you smart folks!!

my config has been reported a few times already and I guess I've been running this for about a year.
    MX1 - 1T WD green power - HR21-700

Although I'm thinking about pulling the drive from the Antec and mounting it internally to reduce the amount of stuff next to the TV (before anyone says anything, I know, I know ...)

I have a MX-1 that has been no problem at all. In fact I bought it, and it sat unused in its box for about 9 months--got it on sale from Buy.com and knew eventually I'd get a second DVR and need it, which came true in June. Been running for two months and is quiet enough I don't know it (it is in my bedroom).

My only nit pick is it is sort of a pain in the neck installing the HDD. But once it's in there, I don't have to worry about it until the HDD dies.

Running with a 1TB WD Greenpower drive, connected to HR22-100.

Those pictographic directions are really something, aren't they? I urge everyone to whom I recommend the MX-1 to study the directions until they are clear in their minds. I think they've stumbled onto a great way to make complicated instructions simple, but you've got to study them first to really make the installation simple, which I think it is.
