i have dish network and i'm thinking of switching -however i'm under contract with them - it'll cost $210 to get out early. i remember comcast had deals 'buy back your dish' where they gave you cash to switch. does directv offer any type of incentives to potential customers that are under contract with a competitor?

Every offer they make is different. The only way to know is to call them, explain your situation, and see what they will do. Free HD, which they currently offer, would be $120/yr or $240 for your contract period, so essentially, it would pay off your ETF with Dish, albeit at $10 per month.

If you're a football fan, I think they still have the Sunday ticket offer, pay for that over 5 months, you get the Premier package for free.

You can get more off if you know someone with DirecTV, and do the referral. Again, $10 a month for 10 months so after all is done, another $100. You have to be careful on that one, takes calling a special number or going to a special webpage.

That's if they don't give you some sort of special deal.

I think, bottom line, the answer to your question is no, DirecTV will not pay the early termination fee owing to a switch from another provider.

Not sure how long this has been in place or how much longer it will be, however I did a Google search of "directv pay etf of dishnetwork" and did find a link for a DirecTV rebate form for ETF's of competitors. It states that you have to send in the form, with a copy of your final bill of the competitor with the cancel fee circled, within 90 days of DirecTV activation.

You have posted this same thing in 3 different threads, and you have not provided one bit of info about what your issues are. Someone here may be able to help you if you would provide more info instead of just complaining and moving on.

Call your phone company about Internet. DirecTV just provides TV.
