At about 9:15PM Eastern my wife mentioned that the show they were watching just stopped. Tried resetting the mini... nothing happened and when the "connecting" message came up during boot up it just kept flashing. I pulled a mini in from a different room and it also would not connect. I checked the Genie 2 and found the lights were not solid green. At first had one red light and then reset it and after about 5 minutes it finally synced and started programming again.

There are numerous reports of a wide spread outage last night.

I looked and didn't see any posts about it. Must have not looked in the right place. Thanks for the quick response.

My DIRECTV system went out around 20:00 hrs last night. After my HR54-200 rebooted and went active again I noticed most of the logos are missing in the GUIDE and is still that way this morning. I performed a System Test but no issues reported. All other features are working normally.

here in Colorado, I didn't have an issue, watching 6- 10 mdt last night and had no issue during the day as well. Amazing what opportunities working from home provides.
    HR-54-700, 0x1352 update 3/5.

Our genie went out just after 8. Tried resetting, unplugging and plugging back in... all the box does is continue to reboot itself. It never makes it past the “almost there” screen.

Interesting issue. Since we are all getting our signal from the same satellites, I wonder what type of technical issue would affect some areas of the country and not others. I was watching live programming up to 11:30pm CST with no interruptions. This makes me nervous. Given that we are being asked to stay at home for an indefinite period, having DTV, streaming services, and a robust internet will be essential to stave off cabin fever.

Yeah... we’re just west of Chicago and we’re about to watch LegoMasters... and poof. Been trying to get it back on ever since. The weird thing is that it’s definitely box related as our old HR21-100 is still working just fine.

I just tried hitting the red button again but same result. I guess I’ll try again in a bit.

Just unplugged the box from the outlet and waited the 15-20 seconds. Plugged it back in and voila... it worked. Yay! Stay safe out there!

HR54-500 directly connected to the TV (I am not using a C61K, since I cancelled my 4K subscription).

By "cancelling" I mean I disconnected the C61K, cancelled the $7/mo equipment charge, and sent the C61K back to DTV. IMO, DTV's 4K services are not worth bothering with in their current state.

Sounds like what used to happen when they sent shut-off hits to bogus smartcards.

My HR-44 locked up around 8:35 Eastern Time (DC area), and then crashed and rebooted at 8:45.
