If so, are you having any issues, particularly with the HDMI switching? Looking to get one but NOT looking for problems.

I have used 3 different Denon's over the past 5 years, the last 2 with HDMI switching, and all have worked flawlessly...I currently am using a 2809CI...never a glitch

Denon makes great receivers IMHO. I've never had a problem with mine.

So I've heard, but the 391 and 591 are their, er, VERY "low end" models so I have some concern.

I have a 591 with a HR20-700 with no problems at all. In fact it is the best sounding receiver I have owned. My 591 replaced a Harman Kardon AVR247 and before that I had Yamaha HTR-5650 and I love the Denon.

I wouldn't call the 591 very low end. I wouldn't get the 391, the Audyssey features on the 591 are worth it alone.

Now, technically you asked about using it with an HR20. I have it on a 22. The audio dropouts we've seen happen with it, but its much less annoying than I had on my old Onkyo.

I have a HR20 running with a Denon AVR-3808CI. Works fine, *BUT BEWARE* the HDMI transceiver chips are kind of weak, so they can't drive through HDMI junctions (i.e. HDMI couplings, y-connectors, switchboxes, gender changes, elbows, wall plates, etc.). You'll get "sparkles" or no picture if you try. Ask me how I know :D.
