Are these signal levels good or do you see any problems? I don't have locals, so I didn't post the spot beams. I'm wondering about some of the 0 readings on 101.

Zeros are spot beams that you do not receive (locals for other markets).

Spots on 101 are different than they are on 103 etc.. They don;t have their own designation for signals, they are mixed not the rest of the pack, so as other said, dont worry your low signals are spots you don't get, your good...

I am happy for you but feel this rage toward the tech that swaped my sidecar on Saturday. My numbers for 99 ranges from 74 to 83 on clear sky but on Saturday it was cloudy and he said it will get better. Is he BS ing me? I know higher the number there is a less chance for searching for signal problems during bad weather. I have his cell and will call him when I am more calm.:mad2:

You should call him and have him tweak the alignment. There's no reason why 99c should be 74 to 83. I'd you should get high 80s to mid 90s. What are your 103 and 101 strengths?

For some reason, IN LA, its hard to get really hi numbers on 99.. with that said, its not impossible.. He should do better. Check your numbers when its clear and see what they are at.. It is possible the rain clouds where lowering the signal that much... but I doubt it.

What 99(c) numbers are you guys getting in SoCal?
Why is it more difficult here?
He told me that instruments don't show signal for 99 so hackers don't reverse engeneer and get HD channels. When he gets high numbers for 101 he knows he is "good" for 99c. Is this true? I know this is not a rocket science because I used to do it when my dish was in my balcony. Now I am at the mercy of ....
I don't want to be disrespectfull but....

    The only good one is

That comment about 99c is total BS. You can align the Slimline for 101 and get nothing on 99 and 103. I suspect your tilt is slightly off. The Slimline points at 101 so a change in tilt won't affect those values, but it can bring in 99 and 103.

he should dither the dish. dithering the dish will line up the 3-5 sats the slimline receives.

He's full os BS if thats what he said.. I know you can get better.. They have JUST released new meters that I think work well with SWiM LNB's, which has been the issue. He should have tweaked it using the receivers meter if necessary. It will give you numbers for each lnb on all sats...
