For those of you who have not signed up for the Extra Pack.........are the 6 or 7 channels that we are supposed to lose today on 12/15 still coming in? This is just a way of figuring out if everyone has lost them at the same time or will it be staggered across the Country. Feel free to post if you still have them coming in but it's more important to post if they are not. Thank you for participating in this thread.

And so, Premier isn't really Premier becaue you have to subscribe to HD Access. HD Access isnt really HDAccess, because you have to subscribe to HDEXtra. I hate to say it, but Directv is taking a page out of Chalie Ergun's playbook for adding on fees. Directv, get smart, get rid of this Extra tier b.s.

I still have them in NJ. Just goes to show you should not sign up for anything until you actually lose it. I won't be signing up anyway.

I checked UHD, Smithsonian, MGM, and MHD and still have them. Maybe the cutoff is tomorrow at 6am? or maybe my 3 month trial started when I signed up in October?

I believe it is "AFTER the 15th" when they changeover:

The DIRECTV® HD EXTRA PACK free preview ends
    this Saturday, Dec. 15
    , although new customers
signing up for this package will enjoy it free for three
    months.
CSRs may begin hearing from customers who enjoyed
the channels offered in the HD EXTRA PACK and
    wonder where they went.

Exactly. This was also mentioned several times in all the other Extra Pack threads. Not sure why this thread was started today.

The announcements and pronouncements that I saw said that the change would be instituted today (Saturday).

The thread was started because the paperwork that I have states that it goes into effect on today 12/15. Apparently it was updated to end today but I never saw that on the other threads that are out there.
Okay so we can wait 12 hours and 15 minutes or so and then we can come back here and comment if/when we lose the channels.

The wording has never changed and everything I've read here and in Emails from D* has been consistent.

HERE'S one of the first threads about the issue from back in September.

And here's the pertinent information from it:

We have good news for all of our customers who have HD programming. It’s a free preview from Sept 19 until Dec 15, 2007.

The end dates of free previews are always inclusive.

When they say "until", it implies that it will change on that date. When they say "through", it indicates it will change after that date.

I would guess they go dark at 6am tomorrow (Sunday) morning as most programming changes go into effect at 6am. Unless they have a problem of course.
