Maybe this is posted somewhere else, and if so I apologize. Was watching a recording of The Daily Show this morning and during the playback, on the bottom of the screen a rather large black box comes up asking if I want to record a certain show, and if i want to push the red button. I paused to make sure i was seeing it right. This was unsolicited and it was for some random show I've never watched. The "bug" took about about 20% of the bottom of the screen and disappeared after about 10 seconds. When I rewound to see if I could take a screenshot to post here, it disappeared. Has anyone seen anything like this? This is the first time I have. If it happens again, I'll take a screenshot and post here.

If this is going to be common, it's another reason to start looking for an alternative.

I have seen that happen a few times, also during recordings of the Daily Show. It really isn't a big deal. It is kinda similar to the ESPN-app pop-up but it is bigger. Perhaps they are doing it when they are promoting a new show, which is probably why the OP had never watched it. Was it for Nora from Queens?

No, it wasn't even a Comedy Central show. Some other network that I don't remember. It didn't happen when I watched last night, but I watched live. It didn't happen on any of the other recorded stuff I've watched. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded it THAT much but it was SO big and in your face that it was distracting.

I watch a lot of recordings on my C61K and I've never seen this. Probably AT&T testing a new "feature".

A "feature" that puts more money in AT$T's coffers. Never gonna stop with nickel and dime stuff.

I have only seen it maybe 3 times total in maybe 10 months. It is very rare. I do remember having to press exit a couple times to get it to go away.

What? An ad that shows onscreen giving you the option to just hit the red button to record it? I've never seen that once.

I've only seen it the one time so far. But if I see it again, I'll try and provide a screenshot

If it has existed for a year I think I would have seen it at some point.

Not Necessarily Would depend on the ad and the channel watching at that time

And it did specifically say do you want to record right? Wasn’t an accidental hit of the enter button by chance?

Actually this isn’t new at all in general. TiVo had it a decade ago...
