Lost signal today due to rain. Scheduled next week to realign!
What do you have a AT9 or AU9 ????
Followup - I missed my first HR20 install (but left good notes with the wife ), now I have another scheduled to be installed and plan to have the dish aligned...
During the initial 5LNB install for the H20, the signal strength indication was not correct due to software. The HD locals were "in" relatively well so I said "ok" (also I hadn't found this site then). Well, I get signal fade when there is light rain or cloud cover to the south. During the 1st HR20 install, I was unable to be here to assist, and have the same problem, only a little more annoying as it is hooked up to our primary TV, and it blows to record the fade
Checking my signal strength, the 101 is 89-100, but on the 99 and 103 - the highest reading is 68.
Of course, I call to get the alignment added to my HR20 work order, and the install rep says..."that's only 2 off." Reading this forum I know I should be able to get 90s without LOS issues.
Question, on the AT9 - are the 99 or 103 adjustable independently from the 101 (the way the AT9 is setup it has 3 LNBs grouped together, with an additional 2 LNBs attached off the main spar with a bracket).
I will be here for adjustment, what should I be looking for? What other technical info do I need so I do not get "snowed" that it is not possible to improve signal strength on the 99 or 103?
Plus he'd get all new cable runs when they put in the au9. Besides there was a reason they improved on the at9 and released the au9.
If you can get an installer out to my house who will do it, be my guest. But I have no desire to play games with multiple CSRs just to try and get someone out here to do the job, who will probably not even do it because he sees nothing wrong with my current setup.
Thanks. I see that now in the AT9 install manual
