A while back I ran a patch cord from the audio out of the DISH 811 receiver to the line in of our NuTone intercom system. It is kind of handy to hear just the audio of certain channels throughout the house or outside in the back yard from the patio speaker without having to turn on the TV. Anyway, does anyone know if there are any HDTV stand alone set top boxes that are very small and could be used in a vehicle for audio only OTA digital TV channels?

I read someone the other day mentioning using an activated Voom receiver off eBay as an affordable way to get an ATSC tuner. About $100. I thought that was brilliant.

The Motorola HDT101 is fairly compact, a suitable antenna may or may not be. Available at Circuit City for $250.

ps Jim, don't wait so long next time to de-lurk :D
