Back to the Hopper

    Well, discounts were out with Directv and I have been missing the Hopper greatly. So as of tomorrow at this time, I will be back with Dish and back with a Hopper 3. Very interested to see what that picture quality is going to look like...

    I'm thinking of making the switch also; what is the picture quality compared to DirecTv (which is not too impressive)? And I might add "WHO DAT"!!!

    You'll tell us - PQ is different for different eyes, not telling about providers

    I think all the talk on PQ is mostly just that - talk. It would take some pretty extreme circumstances to tell between HD channels / sources / displays.

    may be not that "extreme circumstances" … some people do really like the little bit softness of dish's 1440x1080 video output after H.264/H.265 compression of original 1920x1080 video source
