    From Yahoo:
    The article points out French Vanilla "is far and away the most popular ice cream flavor in Yahoo! Search."

    I don't frequent Baskin-Robbins that much (in the Charlotte area, they are colocated with Dunkin' Donuts), however, I'm surprised at the elimination of French Vanilla, which IMHO is richer than plain vanilla.

    When confronted by "plain" vanilla, French vanilla surrendered it's spot without any resistance. :)

    Now here's an area that I am an expert! :lol:

    Campfire S'mores - neat...but a novelity flavor you can't eat that often
    Apple Pie a La Mode - Ditto to above
    Caramel Praline Cheesecake - Yuck :eek2: you could can that one now...thank you.
    Superfudge Truffle - Mercy....no....not that one...!!! :eek2::D
    French Vanilla - the best of the lot....don't see that one leaving anytime soon.

    I'm trying to find the quote from the Simpsons in which Lisa is dreaming that she is Joan of Arc and the dialog in all in French with English subtitles, except that someone had to say the word, "victory" in English because the French have no word for for victory

    Actually No, French Vanilla is one of those classic flavors which should be HANDS OFF! What's next? Rocky Road?

    I'm just glad they didn't remove "World Class Chocolate" and "Strawberry Shortcake." My favorites.

    But not nearly as popular a Yahoo! Search term as French Tickler.

    Is Baskin-Robbins owned by Dunkin Donuts?

    Just a minor point, but any of you with a northern European background might want to show some gratitude to a consistently victorious Frank military genius, Charles Martel. Without him, your heritage might well not be Christian but Muslim.

    A couple of Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts in the Raleigh area as well... which is kind of convenient if you want a donut and a milkshake!

    They've retired, or at least pulled from stores, flavors all the time. I remember a couple of times as a kid my favorite flavor went into the "vault" and sometimes they came back into the rotation, sometimes they didn't.

    Beats me, but I'm pretty safe, descending, on my mother's side, from Greece.

    A lot of European immigrants want the dividing line between black and white to be their eastern border. I remember once hearing Mario Cuomo say something like, Italians didn't become white people until they came to America. I understood what he meant. It was OK for my Greek immigrant friends to marry non-Greeks to the north or west, but their parents would go ballistic when any of them dated anyone coming from the other direction.
