Billing Format Change

    I was converted from DIRECTV billing to AT&T at the end of January. I haven't had any changes to my monthly bill until my new bill just arrived today.

    I noticed my bill was a bit more, and when I went to look at my new AT&T bill, it had this (see image below). I do like that it shows me in the right column any price differences from the past month. The total at the top of the bill had the same ^$0.69 and when I expanded the lines, it shows exactly where the change came from.

    Nice easy to read/understand detail.

    My billing statement has that too. More nickel and diming.

    I love how they claim it’s a federal charge. It’s not. It’s what they charge you for something they have to pay as a cost of business. They might as well just split out their electricity cost to everyone and itemize that to on our bills.

    Again it’s not a charge that is required to be charged by DIRECTV from the federal government. It’s att line itemizing a service it provides that meets the federal standards. There is no federal charge for this service.
