C61K Audio Drops

    Is anyone experiencing audio drops with the C61K?

    My setup:

    1 - HR54-500 Genie
    2 - HR24's
    2 - CK41's
    1 - CK61K connected to a VIZIO M80-C3 via HDMI5

    I'm noticing that when using the CK61K I'm getting complete audio drops (mutes) about once or twice every 5 - 10 minutes. The mutes last for about 3 seconds at a time. The 4K is working fine, the HDMI cable I purchased was from Best Buy, it was a Rocketfish 12' In-Wall Cable RF-HG12501. I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting.

    I can only add that when using the HR54-500 Genie I get no audio drops, however that is connected to a different TV.

    Any help appreciated.

    Anybody else having these issues? I'm getting them now with my C61K but not with my HR54.

    My C61K-700 was installed back in July. Have experienced audio drop out issue since the day of the install. Software update did nothing to correct issue. Am still getting my monthly emails from DIRECTV stating they are aware of the issue and their engineers are working to resolve it.

    I haven't used my C61K for a while and used it some today. It also has the audio dropouts and the picture freezes for a second or so when it does it.

    Last week I had my dying HR34 replaced with an HR54 on the PP. The installer talked me into a C61K for 4k. I have the same dropout issues and can't access any of the three 4k channels. This is also a known issue. Come to find out I now have a brand new two year contract as the C61K is considered an upgrade. So I'm paying $7 a month more, have a new two year contract, for a box that won't access 4k or play properly with no idea of when it might be fixed. What's not wrong with this picture.

    Currently, you need a base package of Ultimate or Premium in order to access the 4k channels. The agent should have made sure you had that package and added the correct service to your account.

    I am well qualified/authorized with just about everything but porn. All that was covered by front line CSR. The supervisor in tech support verified it's all on their end. I spent an hour today working up the ladder to get to someone who could reverse the C61K order without incurring an early termination penalty and terminate the two year contract. First and second level CSR's were stuck on "it automatic and can't be changed". Finally was able to talk to someone with authority. All is good. Waiting for a recovery kit.
