When or what day of the week is best time to call for deals or equipment
I don't think makes much difference. It's more about your account history, the CSR you get, and not the time of day.

If the CSR does not tell you what you want to hear, thank them, hang up and call back. You will get a different CSR and probably a different answer.
I have done this several times.
They seem to be pretty cranky on holidays. Aside from that...
Or you can try what inadvertently worked for me.
When I went to my D* web account page there was a notice that I qualified for a free upgrade. I went to the order page and entered in the information for a free DVR upgrade. As I continued with the order the system added in a $50 installation fee, which to me was no longer "free", so I just stopped the order. A week later I got an email noting that I had not completed my order and if I needed any help to call customer service. Another week or so later they called me to discuss the order. I mentioned that I liked the idea of a free upgrade but did not want to spend a $50 installation fee right now. So, the CSR waived the installation fee and additionally offered me a discount on my next year's service.
I was totally blown away. Of course I went with the upgrade. I am one very happy D* customer!
My suggestion is mayday . :slowgrin:
I would suggest around 7:00 pm or so when the hustle-bustle is done and you have time to actually talk to the CSR. Good conversation goes a long way.
Also try not to call when there's a major event like a boxing match or UFC and the lines are burning up with people rushing to call in and place their PPV orders, or if they are calling because they placed the order through their remote and it doesn't show up on all their receivers :bang
