Can a current customer subscribe to a channel package lower than "Extra"?

On my secondary account, which is not used anywhere nearly as much as my primary account, I have the "Extra" channel package. I have been considering downgrading this to a lower package, but on the website, this is the lowest package listed, which means I can't make any changes online. Does DirecTV offer an even lower one? I would prefer to not spend so much on a secondary account which isn't used for much more than local channels and a couple news channels. If I need a sports package like MLB EI or NFL ST, I don't mind that additional, seasonal cost; I'm just trying to cut down the monthly Extra cost when I don't use much of it.

Of course, for drastic changes DIRECTV wants you to call in so they can convince you to keep you current package.

ABOVE Prices are All after the first Year discounted prices. (2nd Year, and after)
This is ALL Correct, except there is ALSO the Family Package, Has Mostly Local channels $ 30.00
Also Don't forget the "REGIONAL SPORTS FEES" on the Choice and above packages.
Log-In to directv.com to see the Channels in each package, except the Family channel.

Right, hence the the "Reg Price" (Regular Price) moniker.

Yes ... that is why they were labeled "regular price". I was answering a question put by an existing subscriber who wants to change packages, not a new subscriber who is eligible for first year discounts.

You might also want to look at the Spanish offerings. Some of the lowest packages are cheaper than the English versions and still carry some of the English channels.

As the closed caption recently, mistakenly read: "da nota". :)

Looking forward to what you find.

    Peace,

Is there anything that provides a relatively easy way to compare what is included in the various programming packages? When I log in to the DirecTV site (or I guess AT&T site now) and use the comparer they have, it clearly has incorrect info - e.g., it says that ESPN is not included in my current package -- Total Choice -- even though it has always been included, and says that I get the Ohio Fox Sports network rather than the SF Bay Area one that I actually get.

    Polvos...
If you really want something inexpensive, you can get FAMILY, which has about 60 channels plus locals for $29.99, which is $20 less than Select. It isn't advertised.

    Any package fulfills your contract.

Except that there may be a minimum package for some credits that might be applied.
