An I get FX off air, can I get a am21 still? thanks Michael
No, it's not an OTA channel.
"No" to the first and "yes" to the second.
FX is only legally available on multichannel TV providers like satellite and cable. In fact, it's programming is only available in spotty bits on their own website fxnetworks.com. For example, why you can watch American Horror Story eps, there are no Sons of Anarchy eps. (I presume this involves the original studios producing the shows and how their rights are shared.)
If you are generally concerned about FX programming after Nov. 1, check the FX website, consider other providers, or look at other options.
The only way to get FX programming if it disappears from DirecTV is
1) wait till DirecTV works something out (assuming they don't soon)
2) Switch providers
3) Obtain the shows through iTunes
4) Obtain illegally (not recommended but what you do is your business)
Any of it available from Amazon? Looked like American Horror Story was when I did a quick search.
I think SOA is only available via Netflix at this point (but don't quote me)
Where could I get an am21 if I wanted one and at what cost?
Online at Directv.com. You can also find one locally at a Directv retailer. Solidsignal also sells them. $50. Very easy to hook up.
Directv website for 50 bucks, well worth the money.
If you try to call it in they will probably hang up after you tell them what you want because the price is non nonnegotiable. They hung up on me three times.
They shipped me one free. So the OP should call up and ask. Worst case will be $50; but it could be free.
Most current major FX shows are available one day after debut for a fee on Amazon;
Examples SOA http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LLT0DQ/ref=atv_sd_to_hd_ss
As long as you already have an HR21/H21 or higher on your acct, sign in to your directv acct online and you can easily order one under my equipment accessories section...
And some of FX programs are also available on Hulu for free, or at the FX networks website.
Yeah, but Sons of Anarchy is most certainly not on Hulu (the free site) or the FX site. Just so people are aware.
not current episodes. Netflix only gets it when the season dvd pack is released and that doesn't happen till right before the new season starts.
SOA is available on itunes like one mentioned though $2.99 an episode. or you could take to google and find it other ways.....though most completely unsupported and illegal.
