can I record on my D* dvr from a OTA?

    I get a limited amount of channels on an Antenna ..can i record on my Genie or either of my dvrs from that type of antenna? thanks .. No I do not subscribe to locals.. I have my distant networks.. and extremely limited locals.. thanks for not ripping me..

    Yes and No.
    Yes you can if you get an AM-21 OTA receiver. However they are discontinued and the ones on Ebay are very expensive.

    Without one you can not record them from the OTA antenna.

    Yeah, 2 months ago they were averaging $75-140. I grabbed a spare for $60. I checked yesterday and they are going for $225-305! Ouch!

    Pretty bad when they were only $50 new.
