    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick follow-up. My online account shows I have the BronzeHD package with local channels, but we still get many of the channels we did before which is nice :) For example we still get CMT, Nasa, DYI, and some others that aren't listed as being on the BronzeHD package. We also get the shopping networks though I don't watch these.

I don't know if this was a fubar or what. The only channel I'm finding we miss is Nickelodeon which has some shows our daughter likes, but we can get those from AppleTV.

All and all we're happy with the switch thus far, and I'll be even happier when the bill comes in at $50/month as opposed to $100/month :)

I think I'm going to do this switch soon, too. A stupid question -- the second TV on the Dish 622/222 is SD only, but that'll work with TurboHD (downconvert by the box), right?

Correct. Also, only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

We too noticed that there are a few SD channels that do not appear with their HD counterparts in HD Absolute, but we are upgrading our receivers to ViP receivers instead of switching back to Classic programming.

Hmm. This is all kind of confusing to a Directv subscriber who is looking to switch in the near future.

On Directv we have what is basically the total choice, which has just about every channel except the premiums like HBO, Showtime, etc. and then we add on the DVR fee and an HD fee. We have two HD-DVRs. Our total cost per month is about $87.

It's hard to figure out on Dish's web site what is the closest match to this programming and how much it would cost.
