I see the same thing now on my Boston CBS station (4-1) using my 'new' AM-21. The program guide has the warning about the dispute, and the screen is black if I go to 4-1. Hopefully if someone pulls the plug, that screen will no longer be black and the program guide will be correct.

WCBS in NY has a graphic warning that Directv viewers may lose CBS.
    How graphic is it?

It contains verbiage designed to place fear in the hearts of CBS viewers. It's time for Directv to make locals optional at a lower cost. Would encourage more people to add antennas.

CBS may not be that upset, might help get people to sign up for CBS All Access. CBS gets either $5.99 or $9.99 (if you pick the no commercial version, which I picked the last free week I had so I would not have to watch the same Planters Peanut commercial during every commercial break). And most CBS locals can be watched live on All Access. It could be a win/win for CBS. Users can get the first week free, so if the dispute last less than a week, users can cancel before the end of the first week.

You can use a VPN and get locals from other cities with CBS All Access too. As you can with Locast which is free but less of a selection.

I'm not 100% certain but I don't think CBS All Access LIve feed is allowed to carry the NFL games. At least I know the first season I had CBS All Access they couldn't but that may have changed.

I see my local CBS channel (KMOV in St. Louis, MO.) was removed by Dish today.

It is a channel number conflict. They have decided to use -1 for their satellite delivered potential outage notification and that is conflicting with using -1 for the OTA received channel. That would not hurt the majority of customers who either do not have OTA or record/watch satellite but would cause a problem for people who set a tuner on the OTA channel instead of the satellite delivered channel.

I think in the event the CBS O&O stations (plus their CW, MyNetworkTV and Independent stations) get pulled the -1 alert will be removed to allow people with AM21/LCC to receive the OTA signal. I don't think there would be anything to worry about.

I remember last year the live feed of my local CBS station (WOWK) on CBS All Access carried live NFL games.

Interesting... KMOV is owned by Meredith Corporation according to this it affects Meredith's 17 O&O stations around the country. At least Meredith is not as big of an impact as Nexstar or CBS Corporation.

Although this presents an interesting conundrum for a DMA like Mobile-Pensacola, AL which is affected by D*-Nexstar dispute and Dish-Meredith dispute.

Unlike DirecTV/Dish who will have a uniform stance in saying switching providers during a dispute like this is not the answer, Meredith's WALA is advising Dish subs to switch to DirecTV while Nexstar's WKRG is advising DirecTV subs to switch to Dish.

One would think Meredith and Nexstar would have collaborated in a situation like this and promoted the local cable companies and not mentioned Dish and DirecTV when they are in active disputes within the same DMA.

I saw that today and this merry go round is getting to be complete BS. So they replace the national feeds with 2 Tegna stations they were bellyaching about a few years ago? They won’t be Tegna bed buddies when that contract comes up again looking for more money. F@&$ these local station groups and the NAB lobby. DTV or any provider should be able to pick up these FREE unencrypted signals up without this BS extortion game

I wish (we) as Subscribers could OPT out of receiving locals -Then the service providers would know how many really need a deal to be done.

I thought the distant networks were covered by a different set up than the regular locals. At least back in the day before locals and you had to swear you could not get networks with an antenna, the rate was set by the Librarian of Congress based on some market study.

Update - I did a 'Reset' for my OTA AM-21 in the Satellite and Antenna menu and now I have two 4-1 channels. One of them is the CBS warning, and the other is the actual OTA 4-1. (Channel 4 in my market is Boston's CBS - WBZ-TV)

WCBS is no longer the national feed on channel 390. It was replaced this week with the CBS feed in Washington, D.C. I wonder if that was because of the fire and blackout NYC recently experienced.

I also did a re scan and I am now seeing two 5-1, KPIX. First 5-1 has the dispute page and the second 5-1 has the actual programs from KPIX.

I think it's because at midnight tonight, WCBS goes black on Directv as part of the CBS fight.

And (I don't believe) WUSA is not owned by CBS.
