Doesn't work here, either. Reps at directv reset my directv account password and didn't give me the password. Then they said it would be "escalated" and they would call me back in 72 hours. Then they canceled my account when i told them to cancel the NHL Center Ice. Then I asked "did you really cancel my account?" He said "uh - no?" Have been on hold for over 2 hours and counting... to call them morons would be a compliment.

    Go into NHL.com.
    Log out.
Then log back in and then re-authorize through DirecTV and try again.

Worked for me, but no guarantees.

Glad to finally see the -1 channels go away.

    SportsNet PQ looks pretty good.

It didn't work for me. I ended up just canceling the center ice for this year. will just stream. I "think" they left my account alone (been with for 25+ years), but we will see. If they didn't, I'll just get rid of them. Quite fed up with morons who have no idea what they are doing. Looking at my account online now (finally back in), it looks like they will try to charge me more, at which point I will probably just cancel. But we will see . . .

Still not working for me. I’ve tried iOS, Android, and through a PC. All return a not authorized message even after logging out.

As an MLS die hard lemme tell you it got kind of lethargic seeing the same teams match up over and over with the league going to something similar last year to what the NHL is doing here.

And since I saw your rant on the NHL Network..... NBA TV is nearly just as bad with running their scroller during games while RUINING the aspect ratio of games so the 16x9 video is squished in.

Anybody else still not able to log in to nhl.tv? I'm still getting the auth error on every device.

Still no go here also but not a terrible inconvenience as blackouts aren't a big deal as it looks like we'll get most if not all Canadian feeds now so shouldn't be a need to use VPN. Here's where I am:
    Go to nhltv/activate
    Login to NHL.com
Select DTV as CI TV provider
    Enter DTV credentials
Tries to authenticate and result returned is 'Customer Service Code: VALIDATE_NOT_AUTHORIZED'

Called DTV and they verified CI is active. After transfers to three techs, ticket opened, 24-48 hours, lather, rinse, repeat.

It gets a bit weird trying directly on NHL app on AndroidTV. I thought previously I had to activate online for it to work, but when I first tried yesterday there was an option to select login with CI provider which I tried at it failed (at least I think it asked for CI credentials at one point but now not sure). Now that option does not appear and it just asks me to login with NHL.com credentials and after success with NHL.com login, when I try to say watch a full replay from yesterday it keeps throwing up the subscription options. Do any of you who may be using the app on any type of 'smart' TV have the option to use DTV credentials to login? 'Interesting' thing is the app threw an error when I tried to open it yesterday for first time on TV. Cleared cache and data and it opened successfully but for grins uninstalled and reinstalled today. Still no go. May wait for DTV to see if they really do call back (any O/U on if they do?!?) or may try to sit on hold with NHL.TV CS.

Did you get anywhere with DTV or nhl.tv? I'm still getting the same auth error. Wondering if yours was resolved?

DTV 'opened a ticket' and sent confirmation 28 hrs later that well, a ticket was opened. I'll keep you posted but especially in these times, don't hold your breath.

    Every year.
    Every single year.

Opening Saturday of HNIC, and the idiots turn off the 769 feed between the end of the first game and the top of the hour.

I am certain it has happened every year we've had HNIC on 769.

They will 8,375 complaints... and next week it will be fixed.

    But, opening night?
    It's like a tradition now!

First, opening night was 3 nights ago.

Second, you might want to reread what I wrote.

    Other than that, cheers.

I believe the quote was “opening Saturday of HNIC.”

And it wasn’t just tonight that the feed was cut. Somewhere mid-second, I believe it was, both feeds of the St. Louis / Colorado game were cut off of the CI channels on Friday night. I had to flip to the FSN and Avalanche channels to finish the game.

By the way, I still can’t log in to nhl.tv either. So far the start of the season hasn’t been stellar as far as DTV goes.

HNIC was on 215 as they 'usually' are and they remained live b/t games.

Also, is it me or does the PQ really look better this year? Noticed it originally on Altitude but some of the FSNs looked crisper. Did DTV tweak compression numbers or something?

Looks like there is no "After Hours" this year.
CBC went to a "Gamer" Series, and S/N went straight to SportsNet Central.

Hope they figure a way to get it back. Scott Oake made that segment into gold.

Aside to compnurd: You and I went to different schools for math. Granted, I grew up 100 years ago, before there were computer nerds. But, if tonight is Saturday, back in my day, 4 nights ago (96 hours) would have been Tuesday. Cheers.

If you are counting tonight (Saturday), "one night ago" would be tonight, two nights ago would be Friday, three nights ago would be Thursday, four nights ago would be Wednesday. But one shouldn't be counting tonight because one night ago is not tonight! (Just like one hour ago is not the current hour nor is one minute ago is not the current minute.)

    As posted ...
Fairly clear that he was talking about opening Saturday. But if you think tonight is one night ago perhaps you misunderstood.

I called nhl.tv today about not being able to log in with my DTV credentials. After 30 minutes waiting to talk to someone, it took about 30 seconds for them to tell me that it’s a known problem on DTV’s end and for me to call them.

I called the tech support number shown under my DTV account. The first rep, whose first language was not English, spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to spell NHL and asking me what channel it was that I couldn’t tune to. I was then transferred to the second level tech.

The second representative, whose first and second languages were not English, spent ten minutes asking me to log into the NHL app through my DTV receiver. He then had me try to tune to ESPN to see if the signal was coming through.

After another 20 minute hold, the third tech told me that this was an AT&T number that I had called and gave me an 844 number that supposedly was for DTV support.

So to this point I had been on the phone for an hour and five minutes just to be told that I had called the wrong number.

The new number answered with no introduction and simply asked what kind of credentials I wanted to provide to log in. I said “phone number?” After typing in said number, the call dropped.

On the second try to that number, I again gave my phone number and was asked to hold. My estimated hold time was 7 minutes.

After 20 minutes someone finally picked up. Of course it took another 10 minutes for them to set up a security question on my account (they supposedly couldn’t continue without it.). But finally I wad speaking to someone who at least seemed to understand the problem.

I had to log in at least 3 times to three different AT&T and DTV websites to verify to them that my DTV account was indeed working. After a 45 minute call, I was told that my case had to be transferred to a third level tech and that they would call me back within 30 minutes.

    That was 4 hours ago.

And the nhl.tv login still doesn’t work.

Does anyone have a number of someone I can call to try to get this resolved?
