Changing a leased receiver to owned

    I thought private viewing & business viewing customers paid per receiver fees? I guess that's not incompatible with them owning their receivers, so if there are owned Genies from private/business viewing customers floating around I guess that must be the case.

    Again, you can stick a huge HDD in them and they will run better. You can also fix the power supply on some of them if they fail and you can also replace the fan if it fails. I own ten HRs, actually I don't know how many I own. I have a bunch of non-recoverable HRs and some of them are owned. Anyhow, I have no intention of ever going into commitment again and having all these owned HRs pretty much lets me do that.

    Things have changed with the Access Card people. Don't take what they tell you as gospel. If what they tell you sounds strange or you know it's not true, go to Retention, the last bastion of knowledge at D*.
